Technically not "yellow".....they called it "cream" back then, it looks like a pale yellow....but it's the closest I got

(and it's still wears all of it's original paint from 1966)

I have a yellow '69 SE with tan interior.  Somewhere I read that that was not recomended by Chrysler, like a green car with a blue interior.  I wonder if this is a low production color combination?

VegasCharger

Back in my Ohio days. 1966 Dodge Charger 361. Bought it for $650.00 back in 1986. As you can see it had major quarter panel rust. Headlight motors didn't work. Ended up pulling the motor out to restore. Never finished the car.  Sold it for $400.00 in 1991 w/o the engine (sold it separately).

Chargen69

so not finished, but we are further along than this pic shows

ACUDANUT

Wow. That's a awesome car.  Where is the engine wiring at ?

Chargen69

new wiring kit, the main harness comes out inside the inner fender, run through the frame where possible and out to each component.

the spark plugs took two kits to pull off. they go down and beside the oil pan and up. coil is under the battery

Lord Warlock

I have a yellow '69 SE with tan interior....

I have a y3 69 RT SE with a tan top and tan interior, I think it looks awesome together.  Preferred color was a black interior but that would clash with a tan top.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

I don't care what is is designed to do,I want to know what it can do.

Internet pics make it hard to compare the 69 & older yellow
to the 70 up Y1 Top Banana.  Chargen69s' & Rays' cars make
a compelling tug toward that yellow!  Personally, I despise the
Chevy (mustard) yellow from those days :'( The MoPar yellow
is a shade better :2thumbs: But the 70 up FY1 is, while harder
to photograph, my preference :drool5:
