You know my stock bushings were shot so I took out my sway bars and have been driving without them now for 3 months or so and to be honest coming into a stop light/sign then turning left or right I can feel the the body roll vs not having a sway bar, but since these are performance bars I personally dont think I would ever feel the difference in upgrade from stock sway to thicker bars and adding a rear.

I say this because I dont think I will push the car to the limit of the possiblity of these sway bars can take maybe if im on the highway going through some curves I wont roll around in the car as much?  Who knows....people upgrade sometimes just to upgrade kinda like a trailer queen getting the best treatment possible with most power and never seeing over 2k rpms from it  :shruggy:

true enough, im not planning to run sway bars... mostly because i don't think anybody makes a sway bar for a 68 dodge with 74 mustang suspension hanging on a custom k-member... but if you find anything let me know  :shruggy:

Sway bars are sometimes called "Handling Horsepower".
To the guys that have zero interest in anything but 1/4 mile blasts, installing larger sway bars isn't for you. For guys that drive on the street, guys that LIKE to turn the car occasionally ....These cars can be made to corner as well or even better than new cars. Do not let the length of these cars fool you...A big block 66-72 B body still weighs less than a 2006-2014 Charger R/T.
A car that handles well is as addicting as a fast car. You may find yourself wanting to upgrade to better shocks, better tires....all in the effort to be able to corner even better.

Do what I do-take it into an empty parking garage or parking lot and....have a little fun.  You'll get plenty of opportunity to get the feel of your new pieces.  Or, you could take it to an auto-X event if you're ever feeling adventurous...

Speedway Engineering. Splined end tubular bars in sizes from .75" to 2.5" with varying wall thicknesses. Pick out your choice of end link brackets, mount, enjoy.

:yesnod:  You don't need to be racing or pushing the limits to feel the improvements. Just turning on or off the freeway you will feel A LOT less body roll. Best improvements for handling is great shocks, great tires, and a beefy front sway bar.   :2thumbs:

Got a feeling you might be turning corners a lot faster after the bars go on. Have recently fitted these to both ends of my 69
Charger, with pretty much standard rebuilt suspension, the difference to just having the stock front bar is unbelievable.
The thing is so flat around corners, i love it, just have to upgrade shocks.
cheers

Small hijack...sorry...

I don't have the Hotchkis stuff but have a 1-1/8" bar up front and am trying to decide if I want the 7/8" bar on the rear.  Is the car now more prone to sliding when you throw it in a turn?

For everyday driving Dino i say the fronts are sufficient enough, but dont take out the front and ride with only a rear kinda scary if you don't know know what your doing she oversteers like crazy.  That and its kinda scary on the highway maybe its just me.  :o

Overall driving around with just a rear for a month or so now and u can feel the stiffer, good thing to for me until i get that front in next week.  Never thought i cared for sway bars until i drove without them on, drove with rear only, etc...

I did for the first time, upgrade the T-bars, sway bars, and added a rear sway bar to the Challenger.

I don't do the 'canyon carving' thing either, but I did notice a much more responsive feedback.
did make it a better 'driver' IMO.

I couldn't say its slides, the front and rear just stay so flat, instead of taking all the weight off the inside rear wheel.

Thanks!  Would you have any reservation driving it in pouring rain?  And I mean that hypothetically in case your car does not see rain.  Just trying to get a feel for this and wondering if it would be wise to install one on a driver.

My car is a driver all the way, rain, hail or shine, the bars will only help with handling wet or dry, the only thing to be careful of is the rear bar has to be smaller than the front one, you don't want the rear taking over/being stiffer than the front.
I think the stock front bar might be a bit small for the Hotchkis rear, but keep in mind the rear is adjustable, with 3 settings soft, med, hard, i have only tried mine on medium, works perfectly.

Once you drive with them you will be hooked.

What sized t-bars did you install?  I'm not sure what size to use, although I just may go with the Hotchkis set ($$$$$)...

All are expensive t bar wise pst are like 330 the hotchkis t bars are a better value they give dust boots and the end c clips which pst does not.

Yeah you're right about that; my projected expenses for the suspension upgrades are going to be around $3500 just in parts...
