Well you can't tell from most of my posts but many here have helped increase my knowledge of Chargers. When I first joined on the old site it was about my voltage to the coil and Pyschos help was SUPER and guess what the info was FREE, how many people will do that?(which says ALOT about Pyscho) :2thumbs:  I got my first of many replies within an hour and after much hand holding on his part finally figured it out. Now I have a snapped off stud I need to pull out of the head, but I got that under control..I think.

So what have you picked up here or care to share any stories of info\help\friendships that have happened because of this site?

BTW many others have helped fill my empty head with info, Psycho was my first ;)

The wealth of info that I have gotten is priceless. I have only asked a few questions, but everyone was very prompt and accurate with their responses.

By no means am I an expert, but I try to help others with their questions as well.

Honestly, I don't know what I would do without this site... it would make the resoration of my Charger MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more difficult

Cheers to you Troy.... thanks for creating a forum for all of us to come together and talk mopars!!

mustanghater

I started learning about mopars on the old site and now I learn new things everyday.

Yeah haven't been posting on here long but I must say forums in general are brilliant, so useful, especially if you are a beginner, and probably in the past saved a lot of people money which by that I mean you can post a question and someone will know it instead of taking it to a garage etc, thanks for whoever runs the site

TruckDriver

I learned so much I can't even begin to tell you how much. This place IS more less a second home to me now.  :2thumbs:
PETE

My Dad taught me about TIME TRAVEL.

A whole bunch, its awesome,   :yesnod:   thank you everyone,

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

rare69

very helpful bunch of charger guys on here, makes this restoration thing much more enjoyable! :yesnod:

Charger_Fan

Uh-oh...you mean I was supposed to be remembering this stuff? CRAP! :brickwall:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I learned not to discuss too much politics and religion...

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
      a liberal, oh fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respectable, oh presentable, a vegetable!

Headrope

Perhaps the most important thing I've learned here is just how beneficial technology can be.
There are no other places I know of where I can get Charger-specific advice at 2 a.m. on a Sunday morning.
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.

CB

I learned that there's a mopar nut living 5 miles away who happens to be a great body man. Who is finishing my 69 as we speak... thanks DOC74 !!!

You are the one teaching everyone stuff, that's why.    :icon_smile_big:    What about the occasional  "Relationship: what should I do"  thread?  You don't learn a lot from those?      :icon_smile_big:

Charger Aficionado

How Much?  Can't really add that-up since the memory is pretty shot...
Pretty much EVERYTHING I know about Chargers has come from the years I've read the pages here and at D-C...  I can place the figure at a strong 97%.  In the begining I did alot of stupid stuff to my Chargers because I didn't understand how they should be preserved...  I'm really happy there are forums like this!

TheGhost

I learned just how little I really know about these cars.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

I second that about Chryco Psyco (Neil). He's been a super help in my case and he's been very very generous with his knowledge. Has answered all my questions - most of them probably dumb since I'm not to knowledgable about engines. He's been cool and down to earth type of guy who's willing to talk to you or anyone, anytime about these Mopar power plants. Basically my engine was built with Neil's help. Thanks Neil!. There are others in other categories that need to be acknowledge such as Troy for his constant hard work with the message board that he is not compensated for - another down to earth type of guy. Also Just6T9 hard work to keep everyone in check and offer overall info. that's available for these Chargers, oh! and also to remind you to register your 69 Charger!  :nana: Firefighter (Ron) that has offered mechanical help and knowledge too, Drop top that offers professional suggestions/recommendations on body work and many, many more that would take me a bit more writing to list......

To get back to the topic, I personally have learned allot of information about these B body Chargers, learned things that are not detailed or mentioned on books. I have also learned of the vast amount of vendors out there that carry parts for these Chargers. Learned allot about the different members here. And lastly, but not least by any means is the family/faternal type enviroment we have here in the board. We have some feuds, misunderstandings and disagreements, but at the end everything is ironed out and we move on. Overall the enviroment is friendly and full of members ready to assist one another. :2thumbs:

Everything from the fact that the base model '70 Charger did not come with upper door pads to the fact that a '68 Charger with a 383/2bbl/4spd combo came with an HP manifold on one side and an LP manifold on the other from the factory. Pretty much eveything I wanted to know about Chargers I have learned here.

I still haven't got any seatbelt pics though! :icon_smile_angry:

andy74

i have learned a lot from a bunch of you guys, and always appreciate it, and i learned that green has a very off sence of humor, which i look for in a friend!

69_500

I have learned a lot of the technical side of things on this forum, well mostly from the old site, but quite a bit on here as well. Also has made for an easy way to communicate with several other aero car fanatics. And swap information specific to those cars as well.

chargermick

I'm sure that I wouldn't be any where near as far as I am with my car without this site. I've asked more than my share of dumb questions and always gotten the right answer from you guys. This really is the best site on the net.
