Got a buddy trying to put a hemi back to stock, as much a possible.
It had alum. head, rat roaster, headers, etc.
He has access to a few heads but needs to know what numbers he should be looking for to get near a '69 build date.

Any help appreciated.  Thanks.

Just pulled out my Bible, old DC racing manual. It states 68-71 Street Hemi's used part number 2780557.

Original 64 heads are PN 2468014

65 Super Stock heads are aluminum PN 2531108

The DC Bible is not a restorer guild so it does not list date codes.

I wonder why it did not have PN for 66 and 67 heads?  :shruggy:

If you like me to do a little more digging, let me know.

The casting number for all '66-'71 production iron Hemi heads is 2780559. There will be a casting date on each head and, for authenticity, it should precede the scheduled build date of the car by several months.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
