Hey fellas, long time charger finatic, (since i was about 6 yrs old, im 27 now)I recently picked up a charger project so i thought it was about time i join the cult here. Although ive wanted a 68' since forever, i sort of settled on a pretty decent 73 340 car that i can drive and work on at the same time. Ill have to post up some pictures after work i do have 1 question im sure someone can help me out with, im looking into some meaty wheels im thinking 15x8 and 15x10s, ive been reading that the bolt pattern is 5x114.3.. Is this correct? Also curious what backspacing you guys are running with the 8 and 10 wide set up? Thanks for any info!

Welcome to the site!  I am relatively new here as well (3 years or so) and have gathered a wealth of information from everyone here.  Don't hesitate to ask questions as the need arises.  I recommend reading every thread you can to familiarize yourself with as much as you can.  Again, Welcome Aboard!!   GOD Bless!

Looks Good!  What are your plans for it?  Motor, Trans, other updates?  What paint color?  The interior looks really clean.

Welcome, I am 30 , pretty new to the site/club as well. Have a 68 that I am working on.  There is no doubt about it, once you start ,  you don't stop !!

Welcome ! I have a Black 73 also . Don't let these guys fool you . 3rd Gen parts are wayyy more than 2nd Gen parts if you can even find any . The aftermarket has helped the 2nd Gen guys a whole lot . You can find a lot more new parts for those than ours . Have fun !

Thanks! its a good driver car so for now i plan to take care of the bad areas on the body and spray it the factory red for spring time, drive it for a few more years then i plan to restore it the proper way. i bought the car off somewhat of a local celebrity here in MA for a steal in my opinion so i couldnt say no..even though its not my dream 68 car, i still love it.

Good for you!  Sometimes I wish I would have 'walked' first...  I decided to do a full rotisserie restoration as I went along as there were more problems at each turn.  I am hoping to have it completed by Spring of 2015.  We will see...  :)

I am anxious to see it shining in red!  Welcome to the site!  I am not an expert at anything but alot of guys (and gals) here are so ask questions and READ alot.  These experts will save you a ton of time and mistakes.

GOD Bless!

Welcome to the Site..

Nice Charger. I had a 74 last summer. That car was the best driving car, most comfortable, stable, cornered, that I ever had. I miss that car so much. Truly truly!!!

Have lots of fun with the build and restoration. But........It is, or will become an OBSESSION!!!!
