LEDs installed on my '69

I received my LEDs from superbrightleds.com yesterday. I bought 4 red LED assemblies to replace the taillight/brake'turn signal bulbs and two amber LED assemblies for the front parking lights/turn signals.
The bulbs are marked made in Taiwan. They appear to be made well. They install easily, just like a regular incandescent bulb.
It is tough to capture the difference with a camera but I will post some pics I took. The first picture is a comparision of the two bulbs lit. The second picture is of LEDs installed on the driver's side and the standard bulb on the passenger side. The LEDs appear to be slightly brighter than the regular bulb. The difference appears to be that the LED has more light, meaning the light seems to "fill" the area where the bulb sits more completely.
I put the taillight bulbs in first. The turn signals and hazards worked well. Next i installed the front parking light LEDs. The turn signals and hazards did not work. I guess I will need to get the electronic flashers. I am hoping to find them at NAPA this weekend.
Some observations I made are, the regular bulbs get very hot, very quickly. The LEDs seem to produce no heat. My hazards worked funky with the regular bulbs. They seemed to be out of sync between the two sides. Now they work perfect.
I am planning on seeing if having the LEDs installed will have an effect on the ammeter which seems to drop a lot when hitting the brakes.
I am not sure if the performance of the LEDs is worth the cost. I am planning to see if the car is more easily seen at distance. I will have someone drive it while I follow.
That's the update. I will report back when I get the electronic flashers and install them.

I'd be keen to see how your front turn signals work out, as mine only glow rather dimly.
The idea had crossed my mind to swap the globes out with LED replacements.
Gotta love a '69

LEDS will burn much cooler and draw less current...standard bulbs are hot to the touch within a few seconds of being "on."  Imo the price is negated by the lifespan.

I have a video I recorded over a year ago detailing swapping out the interior bulbs...I've held off on the park light bulbs until the valance is straightened and I put the new housings in etc.  I think you will be happy with them up front.

I have used superbrightleds for almost all of my stuff.  Base bulbs on up to strip lighting for underbody kits, stereo accents, and custom stuff in the shop.  Really good pricing, fast shipping, and thus far, great products.

I like the looks of the taillights with the leds in them.  It lets you see the full shape instead of just sections.

I bought 2 electronic flashers from NAPA. They are Grote Brand #44891. The flasher is made for LEDs. The cost per flasher was $19 and change.
I installed the two parking light LEDs. I installed the new flasher for the turn signals and it didn't work! I did some diagnosis and figured out that the two terminals were the reverse of the original. So what I did was make two short jumpers so if I need to or choose to i can go back to the original flasher and I didn't damage the original connector or wiring. The new flasher will not work without being grounded. I cut the connector off and put a large connector on it and attached it to the steering column stud. The lights work perfect.
For some reason that I haven't figured out yet, the original flasher for the hazards work fine even with all bulbs replaced by LEDs.
