I should buy it just to piss you guys off.    :smilielol:

If it was a 4-speed then you would really piss me off. ;)  Actually, you'd have a bit of competition bidding on it.   :yesnod:

It's a legit car that's pretty loaded, but a few things bother me....

1969/70 valance with the light holes welded in...

Sloppy work around the wheel openings...

Not a Hemi flex plate....

Original white interior car, but black seats...

Nothing done underneath at all....

no windage tray....

I talked with the seller & besides the engine numbers not matching the tranny doesn't either. I have a feeling that this car was bought as an empty body & parts were cobbled together to make it more complete. While my car was completely disassembled and the body was painted when I bought it, it was very much original & complete. This car is not & would be much harder to put back together. Knowing what it cost me to put my car back together, I'd say what the current bid is right now is top dollar.

Cooter

I should buy it and dump that boat anchor motor in my rat rod just to piss you off.

Cooter, my dear friend; I think that a project like that might be a little too much for you.

Cooter

NO project is too much for me grasshoppa. Stick around, you will learn somethin.

Sho nuff. Of course, I'd crush it if turdbin wanted it. I'd send him a video though.

Yes it is.

I noticed the interior being the wrong color as you mentioned above.

What I don't understand is why they (or whoever owned the car before them) went through the trouble of paint and body work while leaving the underside the way it is... and then why put stripes on it that aren't supposed to be there?

1974dodgecharger

Based on what u guys are saying being non matching, interior, etc...someone is gonna be solely disappointed for winning this auction.

Mytur Binsdirti

I had a friend check out the car today & send me a bunch of pictures. This car is totally misrepresented!!! Just as I thought; it's a body with a whole bunch of junk parts from other cars thrown in. The dash pod is from a 69. The shifter & trans crossmember are from an E body, the heater box is from an a/c car, flex plate from a 383-440. The steering wheel is all rust & there are scratches & evidence of bad bodywork all over the place just like this....

The car is up to 42,300.00 right now & whoever buys it is going to be very bummed out when they see it in person.

Wow - so this thing is a total disaster!!  Gee, no wonder these guys decided not to restore it themselves, eh?

Figured they could make something dumping it now vs putting a ton of cash into it and rolling the dice on a profit later.

So, the buyer will be "all in" for about 160-grand after making it right... at least he can say he's got a Hemi
