Ok...  As you know I am working on my 72 Charger.  I have it on a rotisserie and have scraped almost every last bit of factory undercoating off in preparation for Rust Bullet application.  I ran into a problem...   (See Photos)...

I am considering rotating the car so it is vertical and cutting out the back (inner portion of the frame rail).  I would then use the inner side as a window to get to the damaged areas.  I would cut out the damage and replace with new steel which I will weld in and secure.

Can I simply cut out the bad area and replace it while the car is on the rotisserie?  I am not sure what I can or cannot do here...

I don't think you have a rust issue, that looks like a broken or torn spot weld, did car have some signs of impact damage, ?

Chad, Cut it out and weld in a new piece. Set the car in a fashion that you can put some support from the shop floor, near the affected area.
