Melonized cam gear

Any one running hydraulic or solid lifter cam billit steel, has any one tried the Melonized oil pump shaft gear instead of the bronze gear, going through mine doing the re prep work , priming oil etc checking lash , pulled the oil pump shaft and wasn't all that impressed with the look of the bronze gear already, it's only had a break in for rings and hand full of dyno pulls, to change gear press pin , gear lightly pressed on to shaft ?
