Back again with more questionsl. How long are they, and what do they look like?

Ghoste

Her's what they look like but I'd be guessing on length as about 1/4 inch on the short ones and 3/4 or 1 inch on the long.  :shruggy:

Ghoste

I took that off the Year One website but do all of those go in a typical late 60's B-body?

Thanks Ghoste. Your right about the number, I only have 6 holes in mine and the two long ones probably go through the carpet.

I wonder if a couple of the long ones are for those sill extensions?

el dub

Maybe, I haven't found mine just yet.

That is the right amount of screws. The long ones should be shouldered though.

One long screw on each end of the sill plate to hold it tight to the carpet, along with one more at each rear for the sill plate extension. The small ones are obviously for the main area of the plate where it fastens to the top of the rocker panel.

my originals had a shoulder of about this much in green , see below

screw A  goes along the top of sill (rocker)   , screw B ( 3 each side ) goes at the very front hole inside of the sill plate &  very rear hole which also holds one end of the sill plate extension , with another B screw at the other end  hidden by the rear seat bottom

Lord Warlock

whats the best way to clean/brighten them up a bit?  my originals look kinda flat at this point, always looked like aluminum but never were shiny since i've owned it.  Have a set of interior screws with them labeled, can always break out the bags.
