How many of you got this game and have played it? what do you like about the game from the other GTA games that they made? You can tell some storys of how you like to play the game.

I got my wife the game when it first came out. I took one weekend off and beat the game main missions. I like the new cars, the locations. The new cool jumps. Free roam, and sky diving.

Right now in the online mode they added snow visual and effects, theres actually ice in the road and you car can get buried in it  but thats one of the things i like, the attention to detail.
Alot of games are made in about a year to maximize profits, this game took 6 years and i think it holds the record for the most expensive entertainment production at 400 million? or something
Plus they are constaly adding Free DLC which is nice, so theres hope for the Dukes being added again  :P

My fondest memory is playing with a friend, Someone blew up his Firebird and killed him with an attack heli, when he respawnd i picked him up with my 442 clone and ran like hell from the pilot and his friend who were taunting us on the Mic, i think that went on for like an hour, we got fed up, and decided to stop, and opened fire on it, they landed and got out, we blew up the copter and killed one of them, then ran.. then they came after us, one with a tank, the other with a fighter jet.... We got killed horribly, but was still fun, its like playing an action movie  :coolgleamA:

I have yet to procure GTA 5. I have however excelled at IV. Years and years... purchased a 42" just to play the game. My favorite is to drive around an opponent in an auto shooting him, then jump out and set his body on fire. And then there's always the double-tap as he's waiting to re spawn. Most online gamers think I cheat. (Which I have never done) Many a friend has been entertained by my antics. Im sure I will have to bite the bullet and check it out. Can you tell me, have they fixed the ability to use a "turbo" controller? I've also wondered if they have changed the format for rooms. It was a pain to have a host not start a game. My tag is "ugotMcgoverned" after a friend who would rip off his grandma.

I'm not a gamer, but I become one ONLY whenever a new GTA game comes out. Held off on getting it when it came out a couple of months ago because I didn't want to get fired from job and kicked out of school. Now that I'm on winter break, I went to buy it and its sold out. Wasting valuable vacation time  :flame:

I haven't been online but once and I think there was two other people in the game (other than the AI) and I noticed a different car (looked like a newer Mustang) but that's about it, did not notice any snow, I did find a way to get into the airbase and fly the F-16 (or whatever it is) without getting shot at. (BTW this should be in OFF TOPIC instead of Car Guys Discussion  ;))
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

She's probably one of my ex's, I had two that were like Will Rogers in that they "Never met a man they didn't like"   :icon_smile_blackeye:

And as far as Grand Theft Auto goes, I played that for 20 minutes once and 15 of it was spent cussing at that damn game.   :RantExplode:

Ill be honest, Ive played every game in the franchise, and nothing shocked me more than Gran Theft Auto 3, the first one where you could drive around, shoot peoples limbs off, blood would spurt, it was ridiculous. Cops being dragged, I remember my brother in law playing it at his mothers house at Christmas and everyone watching and laughing their butts off, I thought one of the older relatives was going to have a heart attack from laughing until he choked.  The slow motion rampages while listening to classical music was what did it for me. None of the newer ones hooked me like that one.

That one was amazing, it was the first game i played where you can walk OR drive, not just one or the other XD i think i was like 8 or something  :smilielol: san andreas was pretty cool too, jet packs, monster trucks and deep sea diving, also whenever i had a pc version i modded the hell out of it, 68 and 69 dodge chargers were always added to the game, among other more insane things, like super powers....

I played Vice City over ten years ago, that was the 1st game of  the new GTA games after I had originally played GTA original PS game and didn't cared for it at all. That was in 1997. Then in 2001 I got Vice City and loved the game and beat it. Then I PS GTA3 and like it. Then GTA:SA came out, I got that one. Beat it in 2004. Then a year ago just after me and my wife got married I got GTA4, then after I beat that game I got the 3 pack and beat each game of that as well. Then GTA5 came out afew months back and my wife asked me to unlock the game for her one Friday night and that's when I beat the game that weekend. She likes the GTA games and plays them at night while I work on projects and watch her play the game.

When I take brakes from the stuff, I take a 10 to 15 minute brake, I get something to snack on and a drink and do at times set down with her and play GTA5 for a few minutes. It kinda helps me think about the projects to be honest.

Brock Lee

I bought it months ago. Popped it in for maybe an hour the first night. Went a month without looking at it again. Played it maybe 3 times since. Each time I turn it on it takes a while to load the updates. I do enjoy some of the little details they peppered in. I was up near some mountain by a big lake and I hit a deer! Got out, started walking through the mountain and got killed by some sort of Puma or mountain lion.

Dino

With work and school keeping me so busy, my gaming life has completely disappeared.  GTA 4 was one of the last games I actually enjoyed.  Everything started changing after that and I no longer have the time to play but also do not have the interest as I once had.  I still enjoy a good shooter or driving game, but I don't get sucked into it as I used to.  Maybe it'll come back once I'm done with my studies, but seeing that's almost 5 years away, I doubt it will.

The good news is that when I do want to play again, I'll be buying games for pennies as the list will include GTA 5, Mass Effect 3 and the 3rd Assassin's Creed.  Heck I never finished the 2nd one!

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
