I had some people working on the house a week ago and didn't want them to see the charger. I had a cheap tarp laying around so I covered it up. Looked at car covers but they aren't cheap. If I do decide to get one who makes the best one for the money ? Anyone had problems with covers screwing up paint ?

Ghoste

Cheap tarps can raise hell with paint.  (which you likely know and thats why you are asking)

Is the car stored indoors or outdoors?
California Car Covers make the best, IMHO.

Don't use a tarp, it is plastic which 1) Doesn't breathe and 2) Traps moisture. The scratches it will cause on your paint is undermined by the other two.
Regardless of which cover you choose, the car needs to be put away clean otherwise whatever dirt is on the car is going to get on the inside of the cover.
I've been using covers for decades, and never had one "screw up" a paint job.

In a pinch what Ghoste said. For the long run, California Car Covers. One of the few things a PRK company still does right........unless they've outsourced to china.

Thanks,my car is inside so really it's just for dust. California covers looks nice but $$$$$ . That one on ebay seems nice. It's just cotton right ? Maybe some old sheets ?

if you are looking for a reasonable cover for a fair price, Wal Mart sells universal fit covers, which Chargers are an XL, I think. :Twocents:
