Get too skimpy, and you'll start getting complaints, unfortunately.  Experience talking :brickwall:  At least there's the word games to post them in :drool5:

Also hoping to drive across the country and attend the 2015 hotrod powertour.

It's a blast!  Did parts of it the last 4 out of 5 tours.  Doing it again in 2014!  Hot Rod tends to stay East of the Mississippi because of the sponsors.   Have your car transported one way, and then you can do your plan!

There's a few other members here that want to do it, I keep egging the on.  DO IT.  You won't regret it and you'll start making a tradition of doing it.  A few years ago there was a couple that came from Alaska.  The old man just retired, and this was the first trip the couple ever did.

Ship it, No way! That wouldn't be anywhere near as cool as driving there and back. It's a lot of miles but would be a sweet trip. I've never been on the east coast so it's going to happen sooner or later. And what better way than in a 69 charger.

;D

I heard the 69s melt in the rain and 68s are bulletproof to rain.

Just a rumor.  It got started because everyone kept saying how the 69's are sweeter.

5. >>>>> Get the Fu** out of Illinois. <<<<<

That's funny!  Is this is short term plan or in the long term addition?   I wish my wife would put it in the short term plan.....

1 through 5 on my list need to happen soon, like in the next year or so.

The rest can wait.

1. Finish my Daytona.

2. Go through and organize my 30+ year hoard of Charger, "C" Body and Imperial parts.

3. Keep what I need for my Black '72 SE and my T5 Copper '69.

4. Get rid of EVERYTHING else.

5. >>>>> Get the Fu** out of Illinois. <<<<<

6. Start work on the '72.

7. Finish the '72.

8. Throw the AMD catalog at the T5 '69.

I've already started my post-50-life-is-too-short-and-not-guarantied project (granted I'm still 49);

1. Shoving a 426 Hemi into my 69 Daytona. In the process of collecting parts now...

The other car related project will be announced later on concerning my C500....  :icon_smile_big:

Did someone mention distractions?  :2thumbs:

The plan for the Q5 is to restore it to an OEM condition and drive the pants off of it. I have been fortunate enough to locate myself a 69 440 block that I plan to rebuild this year with the kids. Then I will put it in the 69 and take the 70 block that is in there now and build it up for a bit of performance, glue a 5spd behind it and stuff it under another Charger that will be built to look OEM but have some go fast goodies in it. B5 white interior, no vinyl and a white stripe with steelies and dogs.  I hope the kids will eventually end up with the cars but as long as I get some happy times in it with them that's enough for me.

In the mean time I am going to note how the young ladies seem to stay the same age and I keep getting older.  :eek2:
