AFter watching the roadkill episode with the hood scoop Im now interested in buying a used hood and a scoop and plasti dip it black.

How does one apply a hood scoop so that it dont fly off the hood?

Bob

For a couple hundred bucks buy a fiberglass hood with a scoop installed. Saves you allot of headaches.  :Twocents:

Take care

I found a 70 hood for 100 bucks and a hemi hood scoop for 50 bucks.  Trying to figure out if the 70 hood fits a 68.

kokxville

No it won't fit.68 and 69's are interchangeable, but the 70 hood is different. It will fit the 69 Daytona tough.

1970 hoods aren't reproduced (and probably never will be).  If yours is in tolerable shape then I would urge you not to hack it up.

It won't fit.

Trade the '70 hood for a used '68 hood.

I think I might still have one stuffed in the shed.
