Old Moparz

There are two dealerships right here in Newburgh, NY that have done something similar. One was a Honda dealership that had 2 old buildings where one was for their used cars. From what I was told by a salesman there, when they stopped using the building the owner had put a few classics he owned inside. I remember seeing a late 60's Camaro, & a few others. It wasn't rundown or abandoned & was sold off & has another business in it's place.

The other dealership was Lincoln-Mercury owned by the local Ford dealer. They still own the building & use it to store cars, but not classics. There were 10 or so late model Mustangs inside that sat a long time. This building isn't really run down either, but the lot is not kept clean & weeds grow all over. It would be very easy to park a few old cars inside, take pics from the right angle cutting out modern cars, & then claim it was an abandoned dealership.

The photos are still pretty cool & the story is interesting.

Have you been there

No, I followed a link off that page you posted and someone had posted the address. It comes right up in google earth.

I just did a Google Earth on the address and building looks pretty solid. The Plymouth Fury can be seen and it is a 2 door.

While it was stated there was a Chevy Luv Pickup in there (more than likely the only one left in the world) makes you wonder?  :scratchchin: It is not a rat trap like the old Chevy Dealership so there maybe be some nice car in there!  :drool5:

You all so have to wonder about NOS parts!  :drool5:

I would love to poke around in there and have a couple of pickup and car trailers with me!  :D

Yeah, he makes it sound like he just parked some cars in there but who knows what parts might be laying around too.

This is probably the only dealership in the nation where you won't get accosted by a salesman within 45 seconds of walking onto the lot.
