i'v always though of myself as a mopar guy where I like all sorts of models from across the mopar spectrum   :yesnod:

having read a few threads on here lately it seems that there are a quite  a few members that are one model specific  ,I'm not talking 1st,2nd,3rd gen  just "charger "   :scratchchin:

so the question is are you a mopar man or a charger man ?

meh, I like them across the board, but I guess mopars from 60s and 70s though after that no thanks.

Ghoste

I like them all and have owned a variety of them over the years but the Charger was my first automotive love and since I still like those lines best I do most definitely come across as being Charger-centric.
I consider myself as both of those things equally to tell the truth.

Back N Black

I'm more of a muscle car person. I have a 69 Charger, but i would love to have a 68 Mustang fastback and a 69 Chevelle.

myk

"Car" person; I like many cars, from all makes, years, domestic and from across the ponds.  I pity people who are die-hards that are only into Chevy, Ford, Euro, whatever...

nvrbdn

i am a old car/muscle car/ mopar freak   kinda guy.  charger being my top pick, i love all mopars, and can drop my jaw for lots of different cars. put a nice tri 5 chevy, ss 396, 55 ford, 69 nova, 60's cougars and stangs, throw in a split bumper 70's camaro. man, i could go on forever.
i do support the mopar only car shows, but i would rather go to an all make show, even with the younger crowd bringing their choice of vehicle, and see them all. i will tend to drift to the mopars first, but admire them all. :yesnod:

I like a lot of different brands of cars, although, 68 charger is the best of them ALL  :yesnod:

I consider myself a gearhead.  Cars, bikes, planes...I've always loved cars; I'm currently in flight school; I'm about to buy my first motorcycle.  Ma Mopar made the most attractive muscle cars, hands down IMO.  I wouldn't buy anything that isn't American, however.

I like all the old Mopars mainly 65-74, as well as the Ford musclecars (Torino,Mustang), never really cared for GM products, I like some rare Euro and Import cars as well.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

I echo this as well. Charger is my first car and first love but I've owned a Coronet, Fury, Magnum, Mirada, Voyager(s), Monaco, Lebaron(s), Avenger, Acclaim, Sebring, Stratus(s), Sundance, and various trucks.

If I had millions I'd pretty much have something like Leno's collection with a little more emphasis on the muscle car era.

Ghoste

I was thinking Tim Wellborn's with a little more emphasis on 1969.  :icon_smile_big:

both.

the 68 Charger is my favorite MOPAR, but in the past I had a 74 Charger and now a 69 Satellite. So, in order of preference: 1) 68 Charger 2) 68-70 B-bodies 2) 70-72 E-Bodies 3) 70-74 B-Bodies 4) 65-66 B-Bodies 5) 70-76 A Bodies 6) The "oddball" stuff (think late 70's Magnums/Miradas, Vans, Monacos, Diplomats)

I'm a car person, with the 69 Charger being my first love. But, I'd also love to have an original Mustang Boss 302 or 68 fastback, and a 71 'cuda convertible. For a sports car, the Porsche 911 wins hands down.

You know, I may catch hell for saying this, but I'd rather restore an old Datsun Z or 500 series than just about any Chevrolet I can think of.  I think the split bumper Camaro is the only exception to that.  I know, I know... I'm peeing all over Uncle Sam's grave and Jesus kills a baby bald eagle every time you buy a foreign car, blah blah blah.   But if there's a Japanese car I always liked, it's the Datsun.   In fact, I've only owned two foreign cars - a Datsun 620 pickup and a Saab 900.   I really liked them both.

As for why I don't like Chevy - it's really just Chevy and not GM in general.  Camaros and Chevelles are just... OK.   Kind of boring.   But, Pontiacs?  70 Trans-Am, or a GTO please.   Buick?  Riviera 455 boat-tail, please.  (I still plan on getting one of these one day).  AMC? AMX or Javelin, or even the 'Machine'.   Chevy is just generic.   It's like the Toyota Camry of the muscle car world.

In fact, If I were going to go the 'non-Mopar mid-sized big block' route, I'd do a 429 Ford Torino in a heartbeat over a Chevelle of any ilk.  They're just more... badass.  Some Mustangs are pretty cool, too, but I wouldn't bend over to get one unless it was one of the big sexy 69/70 fastbacks.  Those cars are beautiful.

So I'd say I'm a Mopar guy first and foremost, with a healthy respect for the Fords, Pontiacs, AMC's and Buick's of the world.  Just don't expect to ever see a bowtie in my garage.

I'm more about substance than flash. I don't like one car because of an old TV show, I like Mopars because of their superior engineering back then. Torsion bars, alternators, Hemi heads, that sort of thing.

I'm one that would take almost any car, as long as it was done right.  But, Dodge got it right with the Charger the first time.

I'm just a car guy in general

Apparently something happened in 1988 that put you off cars forever...

Lord Warlock

I'm a fan of mopars in general, I like some more than others, the charger is my favorite since that's what i got at 17, but liked superbees, chrysler 300's of the early 60s, max wedge cars, even liked E bodies, just not as much as B bodies. Then again I like GTO's (70 is my favorite year) Mustangs (69 and 70) Cougar Eliminators, and even liked Chevelle SS 454's and Buick GS Stage I cars.  When given the opportunity to buy a new car, I look at the available mopar options first, then move to ford, then to imports.

War wagon

I'm a car guy in general, but have had a love for all Mopar muscle cars.
With the sencond gen charger ranking right up there at the top as one of my favorites. The second gen has to be one of the best all time car designs from any manufacturer .
68-70 Charger body is timeless IMHO

Troy

Charger. Specifically 1968 Charger. I do like other Mopars - 1970 Challenger, 1970-1974 Cuda, 1968 Coronet/Superbee/R/T, 1968 Dart, 1970 Roadrunner, 1970s Power Wagons, 1970s and 1980s Ramchargers and a few others. Other than the Challenger and trucks, I didn't even know about many other Mopars but going to Mopar specific shows has introduced me to a bunch that I could see in my garage at some point. I am specific with a lot of other makes as well. There's usually one year of a particular model that is what I feel is the best combination of styling and performance and I may not like the years surrounding the one I like nearly as much. I am definitely not brand loyal!
