Just want to pass along a safety tip. I had a car almost come down off the ramps on me one time as I was raising the rear, with the front already on the ramps. Floor jack hung up and the car was coming backward instead of the jack moving forward as the rear was going up. Ever since then I strap the front wheel to the ramp before I raise the rear.

These are new ramps btw. A Christmas present to myself.

A good and needed reminder that some of the things we do over and over have the same risks every time. It is more often than not that something we used to do with great caution becomes a routine. That can lead to a very bad day.

Thanks for posting--there is every reason to believe that someone will look over their method one more time because of this and we will never hear of an injury or worse that never happened because of it.
