Anyone here with Iron Deficiency/Anemia/Celiacs Disease?

So a couple weeks back I got really dizzy and collapsed at work. Now this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Every time they tested my heart and crap like that and never found anything. I guess this last time someone decided to check my Iron levels. I got a call from my doctor the very next day saying I needed to come in first thing the next morning. When I was there she told me everything seemed normal until she got down to my Iron levels and she said they were low, like really really low. So she went and ordered a second set of tests to be done that same day. The results she was going to forward onto an internologist or something like that. Anyways she told me that until I see this specialist I am not supposed to take any iron supplements or anything of that sort.

The doctor asked me questions on symptoms. Seems I have more than a couple that I've been dealing with for years.

Anxiety
Irritability
Angina
Tinnitus
Palpitations
Fainting
Depression
Twitching muscles
Tingling or numbness sensations
Insomnia

So the doctor said she would also be testing me for Celiacs Disease.

I know that simple Iron Deficiency or Anemia can be handled with a change in diet or Iron Supplements. So I was wondering who has gone through this or still might be?

my wife is going through this right now....she goes in for her 3rd iron injection tomorrow

Shelby has celiac disease . She has had it since she was 13 yrs . It is controlled by a gluten free diet. Please , if you have this take is serious . Shelby had to have surgery this summer , because of restaurants cross contamination. My blood work just showed up anemic in Sept. I just have to take an iron supplement. If you do have celiac. Let me know . And I'm sure Shelby will PM you. She is very well educated on celiac disease. Good luck.

Great to see ya post some again. have been thinking an wondering bout ya for along time. last i knew were busy with shelby an family stuff so i didnt want to bug ya with pm s,just figured ya post when things settled down.hate the way doctor treat people and seem to just deal with easy stuff or heres some pills.  please hangin an gain some lbs,wishing you all my best an some pain free times an joy this holiday season, too you anshelby an family.

    few weeks ago i woke in pain couldnt get back too sleep got on here,fell asleep an me an chair flipped out back wards. guess i was half asleep an moved over i went ,lump on head sore neck an ribs for weeks now.slipped an fell in snow few days ago but seems like a soft landing so far,6-8 inch snow an froozen for 5 days now..
