i'd love to buy it over the phone and have it shipped, but i've been ripped of once before, and so has my dad, as tempting as it is.. even for 200$ with shipping,

The ad has been deleted. If someone gets a 2nd gen grill for $50 they stole it. I was happy as a pig in mud to get the extra one I got for five times that.

I'm going Friday now because Saturday is supposed to snow. How wide is this thing? 5 feet? I'm driving and 08 Suzuki Reno 4 door with fold down rear seats.

About 5-6 feet yes.  The widest point of the car is over the rear tires around 6' 4". 

I've had these things in a Honda CRV without issues.  I did have the passenger seat all the way forward and the backrest folded forward as well.
