Masked Riders

Now I remember hearing stories of my Great Great Grandfather. One of the things he did was be a member of a group called the Masked Riders. They were Cattle Ranchers who didn't like the idea of Sheep Shaggers, I'm sorry, the politically correct term is Sheep Herders, who allowed their flocks of sheep to wander the winter feeding ranges of the Cattle Ranchers. The sheep would eat all the grasses so there was nothing in the winter for the cows to eat. This group got together and wore masks and tried to scare the Sheep Sh... Herders... away.

One of the stories involved rolling a massive boulder down a cliff side and right through the building that the Sheep HERDERS were in having a meeting on how to deal with the Cattle Ranchers. Another story involved a family member who was also in the Masked Riders and how they were going to ride into a camp of Sheep Herders at night while wearing their masks. They all agreed to dress all in black and ride black horses. Well this one family member's black horse went lame. The only other horse he had was white.

So picture all these Cattlemen in black riding into the middle of this camp in the middle of the night. Well the Sheep Herders got scared and pulled their guns. Except because all the Masked Riders were in total black they couldn't be seem. Except for the one dumbass on the white horse who might have been holding a lantern. He didn't get shot but it came close :-P

Anyways anytime I watch Django Unchained I can just picture these Masked Riders the very first time being like this:
