Ken, any thing that is called Boss Hog I would stay away from! My employes call my 69 Charger the General which I did not care for. Then I bought a 73 Eldorado Convertible triple white not thinking what was to come!  :shruggy: Soon as I was called Boss Hog, last time I drove that thing to work!

Maybe someone can help with tech data on the A904 tranny - do it have: Converter is approx. 11" in diameter with a 10" flexplate bolt pattern. 27 spline ?

I have never anything good about those convertors, never mind the name.  Made very cheaply.  In this case you definitely get what you pay for.

interesting - what would you recommend from this setup:
I rebuilding / tune up (72 Charger) my 318 cui with other cylinder heads with higher compression , edelbrock intake manifold, 4 bbl carburator, comp cam, hedders and etc -  I want to keep the matching numbers.

I would give Turbo Action in florida a call.  Give them your specs. and they can recommend a good convertor for you.  I have used their 11" HEMI convertor behind several applications.  It is very streetable.  Your stall speed will depend on the torque your engine produces.  At cruise this convertor seems very efficient.  Dynamic also makes a very good convertor.  Expect to pay $400 or so for a good convertor.

I ended up with a Hughes converter 27-25 hope it will fill out my needs  :drool5:
