getting in the christmas spirit

this year with the way things are, and wanting to redo the kitchen, we sat down and decided to only fill a stocking for each other. no other presents will be exchanged in the holiday season. this way any money saved can go toward the kitchen.

            so..................i picked my stocking accordingly.

My wife & daughter picked up a small, real tree last night when they were out. I don't know why they didn't want to reuse the same one from the last 2 years. It's right behind the garage in the woods & some of the needles are still on it.

Well, Mrs. Thomas, I may have to send a Christmas card your way on Deadwood Lane...after I take the pic this coming weekend when we venture up into the Santa Cruz mountains to cut it down.

I'm there also.  Going in Friday to have hangnails and bone spurs removed from both my big toes and will be spending the holiday on my back with my feet up and iced. Bah Humbug.

We decided the tree is as is for this year. My wife will go crazy out side instead. A couple years ago she decorated this crab apple tree out front with huge bulbs and lights.
