How much oil should I see flowing over the rockers 1968 440

So I start the engine ,first time since I owned the car and the rockers look like their getting enough oil to keep them wet and thats it. Is that all they require.I recall small block chevys pouring oil out of the rockers some even spraying somewhat. This is my first mopar so I just want to make sure everything is right.

The guy did put on an oil filter relocation to the other side with dual oil filters, could keeping oil pumped through those cause the engine any oil starvation issues or once its pumped up it doesnt matter. I was just thinking if the oil pump didnt have to pump oil through those extra 2 lines to the other side of the motor then through the two filters it may use that energy to move more oil through the engine. Any help appreciated.....Thankyou.....Dave

You can't compare the Mopar shaft-mounted rockers to the Chevy because the Chevy oils the upper end through hollow pushrods which, by nature, spray the oil everywhere. The shaft-mounted rockers have a more gentle flow.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Ok great then everything is normal thats what it has just a gentle flow of oil over the rockers.Thankyou for the help I was alittle worried when i didnt see oil pouring all over the place. I sure love the sound of a big block through 3" exhaust :) Thanks again.....Dave

Mopars also get a "timed" oil event that occurs once every 2 crankshaft rotations. Its actually a pretty smart design. The oil shoots through a drilled passage in the block from # 4 main bearing saddle. The shaft design needs less oil than the wobbly Chevy design.

also make sure the oil holes in the rocker shafts are on the exhaust side of the head, otherwise it will not oil correctly

Thankyou I'll check that out because the guy who owned the charger befor me did some wierd stuff. Most of the money I have spent on the car has been reversing all of the rediculous things he did to it. Just a few things to give you an idea.He cut a hole in the headliner and siliconed a 14" wood box to the roof rails, made an alluminum face for it with about 30 switches and lights, then hacked the crap out of the wiring harnes so he could start the car and run everything from that box,Looked like back to the future. He also hacked out the inner fenders and the core support ,welded in pipes at an angle and installed a hydraulic tilt nose.He also made another wood box console and instaled a cable veertical gate shifter, tunnel ram and dual quads. I have since redone all of the interior back to origonal, console ,buckets, etc. I removed the tilt nose and had my 30+years mopar bodyman remove the braces and crap and reweld in new AMD inner fenders and core support, brackets, etc.I got rid of the tunnel ram and dual quads.I installed a new AMD hood and ordered a new wire harness, just finished installing it and had 3" exhaust installed from front to back.I started the car over the weekend from the ignition switch for the first time in probly the cars last 25 years. It is coming allong nicely....Thanks for your help guys :)
