So I'm having this notion that I should take a few days off just for me and do something relaxing.  But it has to be a Charger themed vacation.
What to do, what to do?

TUFCAT

No Charger driving!  :nono:  They salted the roads around here Thursday morning. Salt dust is everywhere.

Ghoste

Here too.  Clearly I'm going to have to go south.

Have you heard of a little place called Tasmania?

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Make sure you're sitting in the Charger when you take them.  :icon_smile_big:

Maybe I'll just drive aimlessly until something turns up?

JB400

Look at the classifieds.  Find a Charger you like, and go check it out.  Stop at any and all obscure roadside attractions along the way.  Maybe, rent a newer model Charger just for the heck of it.  Take a different way home than the path you already took.

TPR

Come to my place, I have a Charger and it's Summer here.
Only 9,475 miles between us.  ;)

Some random photos from my trip.

This is a pickup on the freeway through Memphis that had burned to a shell.

Dino

Cross the river, I need help reassembling my car.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Ghoste

And then I saw a junkyard.  (don't laugh, southern junkyards are a big deal to those of us from the rustbelt)

Ghoste

The only thing that comes to mind here is, "When The Levee Breaks".  A favorite song for sure.

Ghoste

ANd of course where there is a levee, the mighty Mississippi isn't far away.

Are you sure that was a junkyard and not someone's front yard?

After all......one man's trash is another man's treasure.

Ghoste

No it was a legitimate business.  The sad part of those driveby photos is that they look, well just how they look.  Afterthoughts almost.

Ghoste

And to show that it was Charger themed, I did spot this grille in the rear view mirror.

TUFCAT

Did you tell that asshole he was following you to close?? :nono:

Ghoste

I did actually try to throw him off and brake checked him a bunch of times but he was good.  He hung on every maneuver like we were tied together.

TUFCAT

That Charger driver tailgating you deserves a high speed "Cooter-style" brake check...!! geez, who would do that? Especially with such a nice looking and expensive grille!  :drool5:

What to do, what to do?

Go to Nashville or Knoxville TN, and see Cooter's Garage/Museum

Afterwards, go to Sevierville, TN, and Floyd Garrett's Muscle Car Museum.   :Twocents:

I thought about stopping at some of those places.  I thought about stopping at Tim Wellborns place too.  I even took golf clubs just in case but never got to do any of those things.

If your passing through the indy area should stop at the PRI event.

Glad to see you got you another one :woohoo: :woohoo: :2thumbs:  Question is, did you sell your 67 or does it just have a stable mate  now? :popcrn:

Ghoste

Different barns at the moment.  The 69 is at the shop and the 67 is still here in the garage at home.  It snowed shortly after getting the car home and never had a chance to swap the two.
On the fence a little bit but I think I'll be selling the fastback.  It needs some work and I think I'll be too focused on the 69 to give it the attnetion it deserves.  I'll do likely what I should have done a long time ago and let the 67 go to someone who wants it as much as I wanted another 69.
I'll get some more photos and the rest of the story up later.
