I thought that car was Randy Boligs personal car!

Ghoste

Thats what I thought too, I seem to remember the article or editorial describing the road trip to go get it.

bill440rt

Well, he does seem to have a small fleet of other project cars.
Maybe it is to fund those?  :shruggy:

I wouldn't mind owning that one. Love the look of those Bee's.

He may have bought it but the magazine funded the makeover too.

Neat, what a sharp looking car. I'd redo the dash though, just lets it down in my humble view.
I didn't click on all the links, anyone see how much power the 500 wedge makes??

think the motor was built before the bee    :shruggy:  none of the links tell you about motor

Saw that car at Carlisle this year. My son Alex had a long talk with him about the car. He was very nice to spend the time talking at length with him about it. I did get the impression it was his.

Nice car but I always like to see these cars with the original style interiors in them.

The only thing I like about that car is the fact that it's not mine.

It's hideous. :eek2:

Fred

I have never been a fan of that front grille.

a 70 super bee FC7 white top C stripe and interior  is my dream car   :yesnod:  always liked the ugly duckling   right up till 95-6 you could not give them away now try to find one in good shape with right options for less than 25 K

Beautiful car...

Minus the scoop maybe?.    :scratchchin:

I hate and love scoops like that.  If it were my car, and I plan to do this with my Charger, I would have at least two different hoods so I could swap them out as I saw fit.

Wherever the mood takes you, not a bad idea.

If it was a lower profile, the scoop wouldn't be that bad.  But, I'm more of a fan of the original hoodscoops that were available on these cars.

Is it true about the rumor of the front bumper on these cars being off of an Edsel?  I know they're similar in shape.

That's funny because a buddy of mine feels the same way.  He's a big Folrd guy with a 68 SHelby, a 681/2 CJ Mustang and CJ Cyclone and he would get rid of one of the Fords to make room for a 70 Super Bee if it were FC7 and a Six Pack with four speed.  Sadly it has to be cheap also and that just isn't going to happen.

polywideblock

there out there but "cheap" isn't in the equation anymore    :scratchchin:   should have said 6pack 4 speed and  ramcharger hood  in original post    :yesnod:

I really like 70 Superbee's.....but after looking at that "creation", I would hope the new owner tosses the hood and interior for something more tasteful :D

polywideblock

not terribly keen on the custom dash  :scratchchin:  could live with the scoop ( had a seven inch pro stock snorkel back in the 80's ) but would prefer the called out  ramcharger hood   :yesnod:

Well, at least he presented it very well in the auction. Lots of links with articles about the car.  :yesnod:

oye vey... :oye: that hood scoop!  Otherwise, the outside appearance would be a nice pro-touring type build. They definitely went too far with that custom interior. :badidea:

Lol yes!  Now I want one of those too!

I really like that car! It was purpose built, and serves that purpose very well. One thing I would bet money on is the next owner will change something. And he should, to make it his own. The hood scoop also serves a purpose, it is not for looks, it provides plenty of cool air to feed the engine. I like what they have done. The only negative aspect of that car is, it will never be parked in my garage.  :'(
