    What is different about the 1970 b-body pistol grip shifter mechanism versus the 1969 shifter?
There are few problems in life that cannot be solved with C-4.

The '70 B-body shifter has a shorter throw due to its longer levers, keeps your knuckles from hitting the dash. ('70 on right below, '68-'69 on left)

thanks for the pic that really helps seeing the shifters next to each other.

It is my understanding that if you use '70 shifter and shift rods with a '69 handle this combination with create a shorter throw. That being said the parts from brewers are upwards of $500 dollars. Any suggestions on how to modify the existing '69 parts to behave more like the '70 stuff???
