which way to i move the kickdown to get it to shift at a higher rpm, towards or away from the front of the car?

I'm think away because when you give it give it gas it moves away and allows it to shift higher. You shouldnt adjust it though make it so that it is being moved when given any throttle but not when being given none.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

well my plan was to get a manual valve body, but i ran out of money so thats on hold. i have a high rise manifold so i had to get the mancini raised throttle bracket and it doesnt have the kickdown attachment, so right now i just have it attached with some wire and its stuck in the same place. i know its probabely bad for the tranny, hopefully ill get the manual valve body soon.

There is almost nothig that will ruin the tranny faster than doing that.

i figured that, how easy is it to install a manual valve body myself? im assuming it involves dropping the tranny...
