Has anyone on here ever put a modern engine in their charger? How hard is it to do this?

Dino

Several members did but I don't know how many were successful.  Autodynamics has a modern hemi in his 69 if I'm not mistaken.

Why do you want to go that route?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Very possible.  Mainly cost that is going to get you in the end.  5k-8k for the motor trans, 2k +/- for electronics and/ or install kits.  Then you need to go and handle some of the costs for the modifying the car to handle the new motor.  Cooling, driveline, interior mods for shifter etc, etc.  I am in the process of planning this out and have figured to put about $15k aside.   :shruggy:  But I make 550 hp now and run EFI.........so it is a tough decision.  It's still a pretty heavy motor combination and we are still wrestling the gains at this point.  My gut tells me to wait for all the 6.4 Hemi mods to work themself out and then run with it.
