Those plastic protectors clip on the inside of the door frame directly behind the inside door handle pull. Kind of an anti-rattle, anti-theft protector. It shields the clip where the rod attaches to the door handle pull.

Thanks Bill. I just put my door insides in a couple of days ago. Figures I would leave something out but it was an easy fix.
