They just took a wrecked Ram SRT 10 and shoved the goodies in a 68 Charger.  Not very well, I might add.   From the outside, not bad.  I'd prefer it raised up a little bit more than the slammed look.  The inside, I'm not digging the red and black.  It either needs all red interior, or a black interior with some red stitching and embroidery.

Challenger340

In my opinion only...if Chrysler had have followed "this" example..... with the re-release of "this" Charger a few years ago....they would have sold a MILLION of them !
FriggĂn 4 door Charger ?? what were they thinking ?
Only wimps wear Bowties !

Ghoste

Could they have done it affordably though?  Then again, does it really cost that much more for the V10?

"Over 300K invested"

I'd say this guy is a poor investor.

Especially when you consider that it would be tough to get a buyer who is willing to pay what it's woprth; 1/3 that amount.

1974dodgecharger

looks good, but not for the price!!!  I cant imagine he spent over 300k though fabriaction 50k?  used viper engine with tranny 10k? paint 10k?

I think it was Hot Rod magazine that said something like this:

"Custom cars are money-losers because they are always the reflection of the unique vision of the builder.  You're not likely to find anyone willing to spend even more money on your particular vision than you."

myk

$300K?  I don't know about you guys, but sometimes it feels like I've spent that much and more on the Charger.  In any case, it's a nice ride (although not $300K nice) and where I wish my car could be; I'd shrink the wheels down to 18" and drive it as much as possible...

Exactly.
A modified car is built to suit the owner's taste. Finding a buyer with the exact same taste is difficult.

Maybe I'm missing something, but aside from personal tastes how is the build done poorly?

Ghoste

Not for me either, too much of a purist I guess, but if I wanted to do a Pro Touring thats about what I imagine.  It'd be better as a 69 of course but a lot of work went into that thing.
Still, I think it will be a difficult sell.

myk

Ok I'll add to my requests: shrink the wheels about 2", lose the stereo crap in the trunk, and most DEFINITELY lose the Viper logos...

Daytona R/T SE

It's ugly.

I'd rather have a new Viper and pocket the $200K in change. :Twocents:

Ghoste

I'm with you on the Viper logos too Myk.  Maybe SRT ones if he had to add something.

Yeah there you go.  The Viper logos remind me of the local douchbags that drive riced out VW's with "handling by Lotus" stickers on them.  That Charger ain't no Viper, but SRT labels should be passable...

Dino

What?  No mirrors for $225K?

Worst investment ever....custom cars are not for resale, that's the first lesson you learn in the business.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Ghoste

They are for sure not an investment.

bill440rt

Unless it was owned by a celeb, that may add a little value.
