Cragar magnum 500s balancing issues

Just put a set of magnum 500s by cragar on the 70 charger :)

Tyre shop guys had problems balancing them due to being a two piece wheel welded together.

Used concentric balancer to do it (where you use the stud pattern not a central shaft to balance).

Centre caps wont go on front because the thread inside fouls on the grease caps.

Plan to remove the threads somehow and put on.

Just curious if anyone else has experienced same issues??

Had to wait a few weeks to put them on. Needed left hand thread lug nuts from the states (the joys of playing with American cars here in Australia) ;)

Not quite sure what you mean by the "thread". Are you talking about the heads of the screws?

Why not remove the grease caps themselves?  Or dent them?  If the Cragar caps seal the wheel, same result.

So it seems the tire shop was able to at least get them balanced?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
