Well, That's alot of the hard work done already on a pretty nice runner for a decent price. Even the headliner is done into the back glass

Hmmm looks like someone beat me to your 70 "aero-500" idea  :rotz:

still looks like a full size trunk lid, though...at least to me

yea that rear window is way to high . look at the space between the  package tray and the window . not suppose  to be that much space . yea full trunk lid. i like the headliner .

plenty of hard work left to do . plus it needs a lot of expensive daytona parts . wing, nose, fenders and at least a big block .

i decent start but not for that money.  :Twocents:

you guys sure about the trunk lid? a regular one goes up into the tunnel area, well forward of the fuel cap.

Needs Chally head lights and forward flushing grill. :icon_smile_wink: :icon_smile_wink:

The trunk lid is definitely modified, just not as short as a Daytona or 500. Aside from the pics that held1823 posted, another way to tell is that the rear corners that extend inside the sail panels do not have the indent at the corners, they were squared off.

Stock deck lid below.....

i think it's just the window location skewing the appearance. compare the clone photo to this real 500; the lids are close.

Looks like an XH29 car judging by the bench seat.  Why keep it and have it recovered in that awful stuff...

Lord Warlock

was there a bench seat option for the charger?  Never seen seats like those before.  My column shift auto has a buddy seat between two normal buckets, but mines a 69 not a 70.  Also never seen inserts like those on a tan interior.
69 RT/SE Y3 cream yellow w/tan vinyl top and black r/t stripe. non matching 440/375, 3:23, Column shift auto w/buddy seat, tan interior, am/fm w/fr to back fade, Now wears 17" magnum 500 rims and Nitto tires. Fresh repaint, new interior, new wheels and tires.

Bench seats were standard XH equipment in '70 as well as other cost-cutting deletions like no upper door pads and (IIRC) no tail panel trim or flat black tail light paint.

The best car to make a clone out of. If the rear plug is glass - is not worth it. It will need to be pulled after stress cracking anyway.

I think the its just the painted area around the window that is creating an optical illusion...I think the window is actually in the right place....  :scratchchin:

Agreed the location is close enough, and that really isn't the issue if it is glass.
