Never thought I would see this day...

My son always said he would never get married and never have kids. He dated one girl for almost 5 years. Real sweetie. She even said she didn't want to get married or have kids till one day she mentioned to my son that maybe it was time they got married. He took her home that night and never went back. This was maybe 5 years ago.

He met another girl that must have been the right one because 2 years ago September he got married. Never thought I would see it happen but it was a nice wedding. Then in February he told me that his wife was pregnant.    Well early this morning at 12:09 AM, Little Jace came into the world. 7lbs 15oz and 21" long. I just cant wait to get back to Texas to see this little guy.

sweet.  and it begins.  school specials and plays, little league, all the activities through the years. its like life begins again when the next generation comes along. and each one is a blessing. i now have 7 grand kids from 13 all the way down to 2. and i was very excited 3 days ago when my youngest son called me and told me that they are pregnant and due june 30th.

    enjoy every moment.

My Grand Daughter calls me GeeeeeD short for grand Dad

I was a Grand Parent non believer until my Grand daughter came along and I noticed that my eyes would look at her for as long as possible when my head turned away while feeding her, she was so beautiful.I never thought I could love her more but she just gets more and more beautiful every day and for some reason we get on like a house on fire.She really has taken to me like a comfort blanket {2nd to nan of course} .To have this child want to jump up on my lap and eat off my plate still spins me out and makes me so proud that I have such a relationship with firstly her mother and then with her.Then one day when she turned 3 she came home and and her father said to me say holden {read chevy} so I said holden and my Grand daughter said HOLDEN S$%^ Geeed.lol.Funniest thing ever. I think Grand Kids are alittle slice of heaven and Don't under estimate the role you will play in their lives.
