Hi everybody I have a 68 charger 318 car I'm putting in Chrysler 440 727 trans and my crossmember to support the trans doesn't fit can anybody tell me why and what I can do about it thanx

maybe you got the cross member turned around? They should be the same

Yeah, all autos had the same cross member. Now, the 318 may have had a 904 transmsiion and the 440 has a 727 (which is longer). I believe the mounting location was the same though - but the drive shaft won't fit!
