What numbers on a block do you use tell what year it is, going to pick up a snowmoblie for a buddy tomorrow and he got a chevy 350 of him to and he said he has a 440 6-pack and two hemi's for sale, Does it matter or no, i like know the year of them both i think about a offer for one of them

myk

Isn't it a................letter on the front of the block?  Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

If you get one hemi for me , I will be on line all night day , day after day to help give advice, I promise I won't sleep till I get my oops I mean help you with date coding these motors :D
Look up Chrysler tech articles, print off and take with you, explains casting numbers and where to look for dates etc, and I will be waiting to help and give you shipping details for one of the unwanted hemi's
