hi. is the linkage from the floor shifter to the tranny on a 66 charger the same as a 68-70 charger? thanks guys.... ??? ???

are you swapping a 66 trans into a 2nd gen or a 68' trans into your 66'? if you are trying to run the 66 in your second gen you'll find alot of problems like the bolt in yoke and no after market stall converters.

i think the linkages are almost the same you just need the brackets that mount to the trans? im sure one of the more knowledgeable members will give a better answer.

Not sure if theory works in reverse as well as in forward, but I've got a '66 with the original trans and a motor out of a '68. Everything bolts up and shifts fine.
If you have a '66 tranny you need to be aware of the yoke. You will pretty much be limited to using original torque converters due to the unique spline count. Due yourself a favor and have it changed to something more accomodating if possible.
Sixty-eights look great and the '69 is fine.
But before the General Lee there was me - Headrope.
