As some of you have read in my earlier posts, I am having some issues with my cluster and lights.  When I removed my rallye dash cluster out of my 74 charger, a long piece of metal apparently came off without me noticing it.  someone has told me it attaches to the top of the cluster for grounding purposes.  does anyone have a pic that can show me how it goes back on and exactly where.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I have a spare dash, I will take a pic when I get home.

Hey guys

Since you are on the subject of third Gen gauge clusters maybe you could answer a couple questions for me if you dont mind? My High beam indicator light in my gauge cluster went out the other night in my 72 (Little red indicator light top of the speedometer),

1 .DoI need to do anything special to remove the cluster I.E drop the column for more clearance or anything of that nature so I dont damage it?

2 .Is the Bulb easily accesible once cluster is out?

3 .And what type of bulb is it?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

Whoops, sorry. I forgot last night.
Bulbs are all 57's.  See my site http://www.retrorarities.com/images/73BulbsBreakers.pdf
Here is the top of the cluster.
If you have A/C you may be better off pulling the cluster all though it is not impossible to get at it from under the dash.  Difficult, but possible.
Yes, drop the column to pull it out and be sure to put a towel over the column or you will surly scratch it.

Thanks Odzking for the pics.

As for cluster removal, yes, drop the column.  there are two screws on top, one each on either side and two underneath the dash on either side of the column.  once you pull it out, the bulbs are easy to replace.
