Almost traded the 68 for this, but the guy said his car was worth way more than mine and wanted 70k cash on top with my car.

Maybe if the trunk was full of whatever he was smoking.

Did you sell it for 900k?  :shruggy: , that would explain all the farm equipment  :scratchchin:

There are some seriously messed up folk out there and unfortunately there is nothing to prevent them from owning cool cars.

Because he clearly doesn't have any.  (bad pun I know but it was wide open)

we had one of those cars in my home town back in the day. 4 speed car. got to drive it once. at the time it was no big deal. at least no big deal more than everything else. cant remember what engine it had. it was painted kind of a petty blue color. don't remember what ever happened to it.

I don't understand the pricing on this car.  At first I thought it had to be a typo and it was supposed to be 9500 which sounds more reasonable for a project car.  Then read the part about car plus $70k,  just doesn't make sense :eek2:

Actually, that was where a perspective buyer was sitting when he was told the price.

Okay, so it's a ludicrously-high price on an old musclecar with no apparent explanation for it.

What else is new?

Ghoste

If there was something new we wouldn't have to talk about this.  Yeah its old but hey, we love the old musclecars so we gotta talk about something.  :shruggy:

I sold an absolutely beautiful survivor with about 95% original paint '67 R/T Hemi 4-speed for 75k during the peak...and that was all the wood back then.

That's different compared to this person.....

Before I got Sinnamon back...  I was starting to look at 67 GTX's to make a Silver Bullet clone kinda thing.

This would have been a great deal..  at $9500.        Add the extra 0 and it's just plain stupid.  :P

I'll sell you one in similar shape if you want... It would be a steal but you can have it for $500k!

It was definitely a typo.

$950039 (39th ave/Phx) <<  He started typing the '39th ave' in the wrong spot

Slide a litter pan under that seat and and you'd never have to stop at a rest area.

That's what I thought had happened. Could you imagine how hacked up the body work has to be on that thing? I'm guessing expanding spray foam and 10 gal of bondo.
