I'm under the same impression.  I know the Daytona always had the stripe, and am pretty certain the 500 was the same.

That's what I'm wondering. All C500's known have V88 on the tag "stripe delete". The 500 butt stripe was put on at Creative Industries. This car is low miles, "restored", judged well to at some big show, and has no butt decal. Did the restorer just not put it on, or is there something more to the story? This car has been advertised for awhile, and I was just curious if anyone knew the stripe scoop.

For as long as I have known of this car it has not worn a stripe. Saw pics from before restoration and stripe was not on then either. Then again pictures were not from early 70's either they weren't even from the 1900's. So not sure on the whole stripe issue on this car.

Also if the car goes to R&S, someone will get a BIG surprise with the economy and $$$$ paid for the sale. And along with all of the other charges the auction comes up with.  Just sayin.......

Seller is shill bidding this to his max reserve, hoping a last minute snipper (idiot) with push it over.  The last Hemi 500 did not even pick up one bid at 85K, and this is double?  Guess he thinks people on eBay are as stupid as he is.  Another example of a dishonest seller, between price manipulation and intentionally misleading statements, I would never buy on a car on eBay.
