My Oil pressure gauge has been reading low lately so I swapped my sending unit out and am using the BWD S330 from O'reilly Auto Parts. Anyone else using this one? I am just waiting for the weather to get better to road test but did fire it up last night in the garage to check for leaks.

So I went out last night and now it's reading 40 psi at start up and drops to 30 psi while driving? I'm thinking my dash gauge is f'd? Can they read low and the range just shift from idle to WOT?

I have the same problem, I personally don't trust electric oil pressure gauges. I have a mechanical pressure gauge hidden under the dash that i can view from the driver's seat. I also, have a volt gage hidden in the center console.

so does it take its signal from the stock sending unit?

No sending unit, direct oil pressure from engine via pressure line to the gage.

It could be the guage or sending unit  :shruggy:

Never hurts to use a second guage just to monitor what's going on. I have electric autometer oil & water guages installed just to make sure.  ;)
