Just got my newest issue of Mopar Muscle today. Lo & behold, my '70 is pictured in their Mopar Scene section on pg.70.
OK, so it's not a cover shot or centerfold. But it brightened my day a bit.
My scanner kinda sucks, so hope this came out OK.

I used to own a mopar because it was different, but now I know better.

I saw that. I have to imagine that winning the Top Eliminator award will raise the value of your car.  :2thumbs:

Yeah, you're right. It has been one hell of a year. Just going to Carlisle to meet up with friends & have a good time turned into an unexpected whirlwind experience.

What's next? Who knows.  :shruggy:    One can never expect the unexpected. I've enjoyed this car for the past 25 years, and will continue to for as long as I own it. Don brought up a good point that it being awarded Top Eliminator may add value, but exactly how much I'm not sure.
Mopar tells me I'm going to be in the next issue of Mopar Nation, and also the dealer magazine simply called "MOPAR". I'm having a tough time finding dealers around here that carry it, so if you guys could keep your eyes peeled for it I would very much appreciate it.
Hemi-Hampton was kind enough to mail me a few copies of the Detroit Auto News. Unbeknownst to me, I also made the front cover of that newspaper! THANK YOU HEMI-HAMPTON!!
I'll try to scan it with my crappy scanner & post it when I can.

All 4 cars for Mopar's 2013 Top Eliminator have finally been chosen.
1st car chosen this year was Miles Watsko with his '64 Savoy (AWESOME car!!):

2nd was my '70 Charger:

Glad you liked those newspapers I sent. I'll see if I can find those other mags you mentioned. I thought I seen Dodge Dons purple 70 in a mag article similar to yours? LEON.

bill440rt

Newspapers were excellent, Leon!
Thanks again for sending.  :yesnod:

Don's car is in Mopar Muscle, and now a featured article in MuscleCar Review. Great article, BTW!  :2thumbs:

Ghoste

MCR has become one of my favorite magazines again (and not because Don's car is in there) after ignoring it for a while.  The articles and photography in it have been great as well as the accuracy of the writing.  I'm looking forward to this issue.
Great work both of you Bill and Don.

ODZKing

Can't go with ya on the accuracy part. 4 years in a row they F***ed up the simple date on our Mopar show.  :brickwall:
We have finally given up on them.

Ghoste

Yeah, thats not good.  I'd have to agree with you if that is happening but I will say that I've found their article to be far more correct than Hemmings Muscle Machines.  Although Hemmings have gotten better over the last year.
