Hi, I have a question for you guys.

I have 2 DANA 60 rear ends.  I need to know what the date codes are.  The first one is a 410 gear with a 11-3-6c1 (don't know if that means anything or not ) I believe the part # is 6028292.  As an after thought this one measures 52 3/8"  from outside of the backing plate to the outside of the other backing plate.

The other one is a 354 gear with a 8-2-8b1 with a part #6028573.  This one measures  53 1/2" backing plate to backing plate.

Don't know why the measurements vary.  Could it be that the 410 is a early Dana and the 354 a later date? :shruggy:

Thanks,   Rick

If you are reading your BOM's correctly then;

66-67 dana 60 are 602829-1

11-3-6c1 is the build date November 3, 1966 so it's a '67 model year.

8-2-8b1 is the build date August 2, 1968 so it's a '69 model year.

Neither of the listed housing widths is correct, the '66-'67 is 54 1/4" wide and the '68-'70 is 54 15/16".
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
