Hello,
Can I get some input on what you think a 1968 Charger Nos drivers side rocker panel is worth these days?

Thanks Russ

AMD sells near perfect reproductions for $299.95, So I'd say $300?  :shruggy:

Yea, I was going to guess $300-$400 maybe. :shruggy:

If you can buy a repop for $300, I would double that for a NOS one, so around $600.

That is kind of the range what I was thinking. There has been one on E-bay for a long time for $895.00. Does anyone know of any issues with the AMD rockers? I need both rockers for my 68 Hemi Charger, GG1 racing green metallic, factory white tail stripe, black top, black interior.

Put an amd outer rocker on my 70.  Passengers side rocker fit good.

So obviously $895 is too high. The problem with NOS stuff is that you're marketing to a very small segment of the hobby, and since this is a part you can get very readily in the aftermarket the demand won't be great. But then it only takes that one Hemi guy to bring the cash.

NOS parts generally bring more than repro's because they are the real deal and supply is so low. They will appeal to those doing a "numbers" restoration or where repro parts simply are not available.
NOS does not also mean "perfect". I've seen NOS parts that were horrific.  :eek2:

I have a Nos pasenger side front fender for my charger. When I put it on it overlaped the door by about 4 inches. The bracket on the inside the sets on the stud by the cowl was welded on the wrong spot on the fender. I removed the bracket and welded it in the right spot. After about 6 hours of messing around with trying to make the fender fit to the cowl and door I have it adjusted pretty close. I still need to move the fender a out a little at the top. The fender edge dips in a little so I will have to weld it to build it back up, So, Nos parts scare me a little. They were probibly set aside when they were new for a reason.

There are some bad nos parts for sure.  Somtimes they need as much or more massaging than the repro stuff.

Very true statement there. Lots of the NOS stuff i have seen/had looked like misfits tossed into a parts bin back in the day.

I was a body man for about 12 years back in the 1970s and 1980s and yes, only the best parts were used at the factory when building the car.  If a part showed up at the assembly line that was not nearly perfect it was returned and sold as genuine parts.  Most body men were used to fixing dents in new factory parts at the dealerships.

And it's still being done today.  :yesnod:

hey guys not to steal the thread but what is an NOS 70 charger front valance worth. it does have a small dent in it.  the dent is about 3 inches around. very shallow.  I can still see the part number on the valance. I am thinking of selling it to fund my 68 Charger project.
