What's the BIG, BLACK thingie under the hood?

Any relation to State Farm?  Like is it something given away to certain customers'?  Or was it a model you built & threw a State Farm Insurance decal on it?

Joking aside. I don't know but seemed interesting...it was .99 at a goodwill...figure why not its a charger.

Just looked under the hood it's a HEMI

War wagon

fwiw, they haven't made that model since 1970 and its a pretty serious collectors item.

You could probably get good money for it on ebay "as is" no j/k ;)

I have a complete one I restored years ago. Its relatively easy to get a 67,68,69 Charger model in that scale in plastic, BUT the 1970 version hasn't been made since 1970. The molds were modified or destroyed and no tooling exists for that car.

So...... CONGRATS on your rare barn find :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

I seen that big ol' valve cover right away.

May I please get you to elaborate some more on the car please.  Does it have any telltale signs of persay factory built patina?

Reason I'm so inquisitive is I have a fairly reliable, 2 decade long State Farm agent friend who I just reacquainted.  We just met back up after about 25 or so years, the reason I moved to the Pacific Northwest, my ex.

No repaint it seems.....yeah it's all die cast that i can see....i been letting my son play with it and he makes the same sound my car does vroom, vroom, vroom and then he points at the garage lol.

He was able to take the wheels off....i think he is trying to fix the engine.

Well if the Hemi under the hood is not matching numbers then it is just a clone as it will never again be original, I turn my nose up at it

Well the hood black out was always...black.  Depends if it has torque boxes, etc. to determine if it was a real Hemi car.

Chevy owner from it's past (black inner fenders).
