due to life circumstances ive been toying with the idea of selling all my cars and parts since I never seem to have the time or funds it seems anymore, and I haven't kept up with what cars and parts are selling for now so I thought I would get on here and ask for everyones opinion so I can at least be in the ballpark if I do decide to sell. my car is a 69 R/T numbers match driveline that a previous owner put a complete six pack set up on (I do have a date correct 4 bbl) that needs rebuilt to go with it. 727 column fender tag was removed by a previous owner but I have a complete build sheet original interior (except new ECS carpet) in nice shape originally a T5 broze car but sometime early in its life it apparently had a complete quarter put on and painted black with the bumble bee stripe. everything is solid the trunk floor has some surface rust from the mat sweating the car appears to have been garage kept most of its life. I have complete extra grille that could be restored (it has some broken fins) I bought just in case something happened to the one in the car .also have a correct brake booster that needs rebuilt to replace the after market one in the car.
as far as parts I have I think 2 69,1 68, and 1 71 4 speeds, cast bell housing, a 67 4 speed pedal ass. and a 69 4.10 Dana 60

I honestly don't know I haven't been on the forums for a long while and honestly haven't kept up with anything price wise on cars and or parts in probaly a couple years

I too am sorry to hear this, nice looking car, and trophy winner too!  Hopefully you will reconsider and go back to enjoying it.

1BAD68

I would guess mid to high 20's for that beautiful 69 R/T

hemihead

That Dana 60 should be worth around $1500 .

If those trannys are big block, they are worth good money too in addition to the Dana, which can be pricey.  Don't rush to sell, it is a nice package.

Sorry your thinking about selling. Would that Dana fit a 67? If so what part of the country do you live in?

F8-4life

# match
6 pak
extra 4 speeds & dana
extra grill

Those parts are worth some good $$, and the car looks really nice. I'd say anything under 30k for the lot is a buy.
Maybe try for 35k?

i think the 69 Dana's are a little bit wider than a 67 it would fit but might have to change offset on the wheel

I agree, throw it on E-Bay.  Even if it does not sell, you will have bidders contacting you after the sale wanting to work out a deal. It stinks you are thinking of selling it, but life gets busy, priorities change. Been considering selling mine too.

If it were mine, I would be around $40, and not take a dime less than $35, that is a nice looking car.

You cant be that hard up for cash?  You will never get one back like the one you have now.  Dont settle for a price just becuase you need the money in a tight spot....

Yellow tail stripe nice. 1st time i seen one done like that. Got me thinking :)

Nuttin under 30 for the car alone.

maxwellwedge

Sell the parts separately - They will be worth half as much in a package with the car.  :2thumbs:

moparsr2fast

The 67 rear is 11/32 shorter per side on the overall length, but the perches are still positioned correctly for all B bodies.

I agree with selling the other parts individually from the car. You will end up with more $. Set the reserve for mid 30s for that ride, and don't settle for less. Good luck

If I hadn't just bought, I'd be making you an offer.
If I can give you any advice it would be to perhaps sell your OTHER cars and parts and then see how you feel about letting the Charger go?
Also consider selling overseas. That's a $50K car easy here in Australia.
Good luck to you, whatever you decide.

wouldnt even begin to know how to sale it overseas.

A black Charger with a bench is what I've been looking for.  If you decide to sell, let me know via PM - I don't frequent the board as much as I used to since I bought my '67 Chevelle SS convertible this spring.

The main thing I would have to factor into a purchase would be the top.  I know some people love 'em, but I really dislike vinyl roofs.  Anyone have a good idea of what it would cost to take off the vinyl and trim and paint that to match?

Put it up for sale and wait.  When a deal is made, the buyer sends you money and once that's cleared you give him/her the okay to have it picked up.  It's just like selling it locally minus the tire kickers.

Nooooo not you too. I've already listed mine. It's kinda sad too, part of mine and Stacey's 1st date was her hanging with me at a car show with the 66. I get blessed enough to marry a car chick and now I'm having to sell! I thought we were supposed to have more free time as we got older not less! I miss those road trips you and I use to take, man those we're fun! I completely understand though, I just don't have the time or the money anymore ( not sure I really ever had the money part). It's become a burden just trying to keep it looking good. IF IF IF I ever do this again it will be a mopar rat rod or beater of some sort so I can relax about trying to keep the finish pristine. Truthfully though right now I just don't forsee ever having the time to do this again. Oh well ya never know. On a better note I think you'll have a easier time and get a better price for yours than I will for mine. Keep me up to date. :callme:

Guess I'll throw in my  :Twocents: here. First, I think the car is very cool. I like it!! I would keep the carb/intake and brake booster to go with the car. Sell the other parts separately. What is the current gear ratio and how does it run with the 6pak? Does it need rebuilt, too much cam, not enough, etc.?

For the purist guys, you'll get beat up on the color change. A full broadcast sheet will help to replace the fender tag, so I don't think that's a ding. Auto on column cars, not as cool as console auto or 4spd to most buyers. The gauges look faded, you said the interior was mostly original. Depending on condition, those items may lessen the value to some. You mentioned the quarter replaced. Any sheetmetal work done previously or that needs to be done, could lessen the value depending on how well it was done, or what it needs now. Guys that are going to spend north of 30k will go over it with a fine tooth comb. That's still big money for most guys. So, I think all that becomes a factor in selling it.

To bring the most money, you'll need to find a guy that just plain likes it for it is, and is not a "correct" freak. I think the Red Charger that was posted here a few months ago in the mid-30's is a good comparison for you to check out. It was a color change, and I "think" NOM. Anyway, it looked like a very well done car and a mostly correct restoration. Red is a great color, and if it wouldn't crack $35K, I think yours will have a hard time doing it to. Of course, this is all on the outside looking in, I have not personally seen either car. My guess is you car would sell fast in the low to mid 20's. Upper 20's to low 30's may take awhile in this market, but I think is feasible. I think winter coming on, will hurt too. Try to wait and list in the Spring.

I have already sent this post to some guys I know looking for Chargers. Once you decide to list, and on a price, please let me know. I know a lot of guys and would be glad to help spread it around. I would advise listing here and other free sites first. Both Mopar and non-Mopar sites. I would do ebay if I didn't get any serious offers after being listed on the free sites for a couple of weeks. Sorry you have to sell it. Good luck, I hope you can keep it.
