hi. Thought id try this again. ive emailed some people on here privetly but I didn't get any return messages so here goes. Im looking for a set of rear window diamond plates. I guess that's what you call them. They go at each lower corner. And I need a set of fender enstentions.. They bolt to the fender right under the side marker and curve under and bolt to the valance.. can anyone help? thanks r

DoubleDlover

hi there. Thanks for that tip. His fender exstentions look ok and I know there a lot of work. But I can tell they wont fit on my fenders. That top edge is suppose to have a arc in them to follow the seam on that bottom edge of the fenders. His is strait across. DonC guy. Hopefully i'll get more leads. thanks.

Have you contacted he? I would think if he can make the complete noses, fenders, scoops, wing up rights out of steel from "scratch"!!  He could easily put a curve in the top edge. Its probably the angle of the pic.

hi there. I remember talking to him about them back at the beginning of the year.  I think he said something about it. If I cant find original ones I guess I will have to try talking with him again to see about it.

There have been a pair of fender extensions on Ebay for a long time, are you not interested in the NOS parts? Im pretty sure the diamond pieces are repopped, have you checked out Janek?
wingless now, but still around.

Probably Janak on the diamond plates.   OEM ones are very hard to find.

Fender extensions are less difficult.  They are out there.  Just a matter of price and can you wait for them.

Ron, Have you already altered your fenders or are they real bird fenders?  When I alter the fenders, I make bending templates from 3/4 angle iron that follow the contour of the valance and alter the fenders to match them. That way I get a perfect fit every time.

IIRC, there is only one side (pass) and for $500, and as shity looking as it is, it's overpriced......more like $250-$300 max based on it's condition...FYI I make the lower Suberbird fender extensions in fiberglass...molded off clean originals, all flanges are present, correct shape...$200 pr

hi guys. Thanks for the posts so far. Yes ive seen the one on ebay. Unfortunitly I need a pair. And I also need the parts in metal. So either original or wonderful repops. If I have to i'll buy NOS as a last resort. Good used would be better for the cond. of my cars. thanks

I put a straightedge on the bird fender I made (off car) just as a example that my fender ext's do have the curve and have to....I will be making a new steel set soon...

Also will be taking my Bird wing plugs down to a local foundry for a quote on casting them in aluminum, if anybodys interested in a cast bird wing let me know., and I can make those diamond fillers too...I have the pattern.
