Here is the idea behind Cuda Ken Mopar Pit Stop Bar and Grill.

It is a places where we all can come and talk about work, other hobbies, family and so forth. If the idea catches on we will move the Pit Stop every mouth so the post will not get to long.

I stole the idea from another site I go to. It is a model train site (yep I love my trains) and I have made a lot of friends there.

http://cs.trains.com/mrr/f/88/t/221050.aspx

Just to give you folks a idea what I am talking about there the link.

Far as the Bar and Grill, here is the staffing so far.

Tom Hoover, he is the manager. (I wonder how many people will know who Mr Hoover is. :notworthy:

Vinny, he is the head cook. Does not take a lot to piss him off.

Flo, head waitress and bar tender.

Lucy, wait's the tables.

For the folks that do not know me, Hi I am Cuda Ken. Been a Mopar guy since I was 12, that is when Dad brought home my 68 Road Runner. Still have her, I got the title when I turned 17.

My other hobbies and not in order.

HO Trains
Audiophile, means I spend way to much on stereo equipment  :eek2:
Numismatic, that is geek for collecting coins. :shruggy:

Flo,  pleases.

Today was my day off and spent few hours at the VA Hospital for another skin graft. I had a calluses that caused a ulcer and I all most lost part of my right foot? :shruggy: Anyway it has taken all most 18 months to heal, but I am getting close to it being healed  :2thumbs:

Hoped to work on the Road Runner today.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/8-13-6_zps02564b8a.jpg.html]

Lots to do after letting her sit for 8 years.  :brickwall: But as normal life got in the way. :shruggy: Had to fix the mail box before it feel off the post. Had not cut the grass for a month and it was looking pretty nasty.

My wife as all so been very sick,(Lost 40 pounds in 2 months and we worried about it being cancer) but getting way better. So I have to pick up her slack and go to the grocery store today. :rotz:

So how was your day?

By the way Flo, I will pick up the bar tap for the next few day.

i will need a tall one flo. especially since ken is picking up the tab.

i also have been a mopar freak since young. my mother drove dodges. i had my first car being a 68 charger when i was 16. and the early 70's was an awesome time to be a driving teenager. if you watched american graffiti, it was common in some southern illinois towns to be cruise city every friday and saturday night. it didnt matter what you were riding in most of the time, just as long as you were out there.heck, before i got my car i would cruise dads 68 ford pick up truck. piled people in the back and run all night.

jump forward to the present, im trying to prepare the charger for a mopar picnic. gotta get the vacuum reserve finished and try it out. my new gas tank seal came in which needs to be installed. i need to finish the wiring of the headlights, since it wont be over until after dark. and i have a dripping brake line just before the rear end. luckily i already purchased the new line kit.

i actually have a few hobbies i enjoy. collecting old toys, camping, fishing, and cars.

thanks for the drink ken, nice place :2thumbs:

Flo, Diet Dew Pleases. I will also take a BLT with cream cheeses.

Fy, Jim and Bruce welcome to the pit stop.

So Jim, I now know why you have not had time to stop by! Sounds like you have some work to get done. When is the picnic and where?

Bruce when are you off again? I will say one thing, you sure do stay in touch for someone I have never meet in person. Seems like we have know each other for a long time. He,He got anymore magazines you don't need?  :scratchchin:

Fy469rsse, tell us a little about your self. I am guessing you have a Charger with a stroker motor? If you don't mind, what is your first name?

One thing I did forget that happen yesterday. I got a check in the mail for $107.00 that I did not know was coming!  :2thumbs: Seems the old job ponied up for the personal day I had coming. Going straight into savings.

Got to start to get ready for work. Today is a short day and I should be home around 6:25 or so.

See you all tonight.

 Evening Dinners!

Flo, Cam 2 Pleases!

I will also take a order of BBQ Goat, BB sizes of onion rings and a toss salad.  ;)

Fred, did you have a reservation?

Jim I did see that post, pretty sure the old Road Runner would not make it there unless it was on a flatbed. Heck at this point I be tickled if either you or Allen makes it by so I can make a few runs around the block!  :boogie:

Daytona R/T Welcome as well!

Fred tell us about your 68 Charger, is it a right hand drive?

Wife dressed me funny today for work! :eek2: I am diabetic and a Vet so I get my diabetic shoes from the VA. So just like when I was in the Army all my shoes look the same! I have two pairs, going to work shoes and yard shoes. Yesterday like I posted I cut the grass and when I took them off my wife did not like the smell of grass that was on them. So she put the pair of yard shoes in the hallway.

This morning I asked her where my other pair of shoes and she told me what she had did. While I was cleaning up she stated my shoes looks dirty and I need to polish them. After spit shinning my jump boots for years, I won't touch shoe polish anymore!. So while I was finishing cleaning up she cleaned my shoes like a good wife! Jumped into my clothes and out the door I went, need to stop at the bank on the way to work so I was in a hurry!

Got to work on time and sat down in my offices chair, crossed my feet on the desk and  :eek2: looked at my feet! Seems my  of a wife had cleaned 2 left hand shoes?  :smilielol: I don't have a lot of feeling in my feet and I knew something felt off. But, I had been wearing my house slippers and when I go to my street shoes it does feel odd for a while so I did not think anything of it.

Boy, I looked like a total dork. So I jumped back in the car and went home to getting matching shoes. :yesnod: Other than that today was pretty uneventful. Cards where playing today I live in Maryville IL 14 miles from St Louis Mo so we are part of the Cardinal Nation and we only 4 customers. Sure not going to get the need funds for my Mopar Habit that way!  :brickwall:

Sorry Flo, no drinks for me tonight.  :puke:

I'm nursing a bit of a sore head. Went to a bucks party last night. Not the sort of thing I do as a rule but it was for the son of a good mate of mine and just down the road and my mate didn't want to be the only old geaser there so convinced me to come along.
Mind you, we didn't stay long.........even the Mrs. was surprised we were back so soon. In fact, we left just as the strippers were arriving so we didn't get up to any trouble.

As for dinner, I'll have what Ken's having. That is if you can find an extra chair. I can squeeze in between Jim and fy.  :icon_smile_big:
Where's Lucy tonight?

No, I've left my charger LHD. (It's allowed in Victoria) Don't want to spoil a good thing and I have no trouble driving it.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

no plate for me, had smoked brisket and ribs at the daughters tonight while watching the cards hold off the dodgers. just a nice iced tea with lemon.

got the vacuum reserve hooked up today, but no time for a test drive due to the invite to the daughters house.

need to do a few things tomorrow, then go for a drive. :2thumbs: im a football freak, so sunday's are my day to sit in front of the tube. the wife will make wings (bbq and hot wings) mini taco's, cream cheese with baby shrimp covered in shrimp sauce and scooped with ritz crackers.and pizza rolls. we do that every sunday. usually some of the kids come by to watch a game and get lunch. im like a king on sundays. she doesnt let me get anything. yep, sunday's are good. :2thumbs:

evening flow. whats up guys?      i'll have a 12 packer of high lifes and a big stick of jerky. pool change if you would.
today we decided to change up the living room. I just recently bought the wife a 1920's wind up victrola record player. after that I got a 1930's radio and record player in one. the radio works [ has fm can you believe it? I thought fm came out in the fifties]  but the turntable didn't. so I took out the record part of it  and put my receiver and cd player inside it. close the doors on it and you'd never know its in there. had to fit them in the living room.
ken, i'll look around for some more reading material for you. I should have something around here. and don't sell your road runner!!!! you'll hate yourself. well enough about that. work has been a trip. had my fellow mechanic leave for another job so I've had to run my ass off the last 2 weeks. will have to go back to working every other Saturday again. hate working weekends.  less time to get mopar things done. well, bought done with the tweleth beer and i'm driving so I better call it quits, later guys!          bruce

Morning Folks

Hi Lucy, I will have a scrambled eggs, bacon, English muffin and coffee pleases.

Well today is a real short workday, 12:00 Noon to 5:00 pm.  :2thumbs: When I get home I am BBQing some pork steaks.

Fred said "Went to a bucks party last night. Not the sort of thing I do as a rule but it was for the son of a good mate of mine and just down the road and my mate didn't want to be the only old geaser there so convinced me to come along.

OK, I will bite. Is a Bucks party a bachelor party? At first I thought it might be a Cricket Match, if Cricket has Stripper I think I could become a fan!  :D

had my fellow mechanic leave for another job so I've had to run my ass off the last 2 weeks Bruce does that mean extra $ for the vale train?

I got to help you so you can post your pictures. I would love to see what you are working on.

Well it is that time, got to run.

I haven't even fired the engine up since I built it, so if anyone out there needs a mopar performance 440 resto cam, let me know. its the stock replacement.  went ahead and bought a cam from mr six pack.
sorry about whipping you guys at pool. here, i'll give your money back. fair enough?       bruce

Evening Folks

Flo, Cam 2 Pleases.

Lucy, I am fine have BBQ Pork steaks smoking at the house.

Who did the Vikings play? I am not a football fan but I do know the Rams handed someone there ass on a plate today. Rams are on a winning streak, 2 in a row!

Work was boring, made some chump change and that is about it.

Bruce how soon are you getting rid of the cam? Maybe down the road.

Looks like it is time for a new grill. Bought this one around 15 years ago and it has seen a lot of BBQ's. I have replaced the cooking grid 2 times and gas bar oh 3 times?  :shruggy: Top of the grill is held in places with sheet wall screws acting as the hinges. :smilielol: Yea, I am a little redneck on somethings!  :D

Been running the HO trains a lot again lately.

Anyone know the sizes of a 68 Road Runner off the top of there heads? I am thinking 6.5 wide and 18 feet long. Need to find a plan to get Miss Lumpy in the garage and have a good sizes train layout.

Jimis all so a train guy, so if he can pry him self away from Sunday Foot Ball I might have the needed help!  :smilielol:

See you all later, Ken

Hello dinners?  :shruggy:

Flo, wake up I need a Beer.

Boy today was a long day and sure not worth the 81 mile round trip!

I am off Tuesday and I have no Medical Appointment's for a change :boogie: :boogie: :boogie: :boogie:! Take my world for it, getting old sucks!  :brickwall:

What I hope to do Tuesday besides  is getting the garage ready for the Road  Runner! I don't want this

But before I can get the Road Runner back into the garage I need to do something with this!

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Charger%20Site/1-Rsideoverview_zps8cc4c5a3.jpg.html]

First step is to get rid of the junk under the train layout. I would all so like to find a new home for my Snap On Box. I could use the money for some body parts. I all ready have a left front fender, right door and left quarter.

Hope this catches on as far as the dinner goes. Maybe I will talk with Tory about a sticky post on the main page.

Cuda Ken, Cam 2 on the house!

Hey Flo---I'm in for whats on tap.
Was thinking about your trains.  I always wanted to build something like you have but circumstances changed and opportunities were missed.

A thought remains though-- You could rebuild a new system maybe 12-18 inches wide at eye level that ran along and through walls .
This could give the RR deserved indoor space and keep the RR system from being boxed up.

Honey-- I need another roll of tp--OK it's on the great northern (flat car) two ply express

 Evening Folks

Flo, Cam 2 pleases.

Lucy, I will take a Cheese Burger and a RB sizes of onion rings and Shaddy http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/2.jpg.html] would like a cat burger pleases. I only tell Shaddy it is cat. :D

Ah, Tom, can I see my tap?  :eek2: Good thing I get paid Thursday! ;)

Black and Black the Pit stop will be what we make of it. We will get back what we put in.

Whole idea is to get to know your fellow Mopar Folk, not just there cars but them. Worked well on the train site, made many of friend there, hope to do the same here.

My Day Off. :P Did not go great, felt like Chevy all day. That is one of the things that truly sucks about being a Diabetic, you have good days then shitty days. Last Friday I felt good and got some things done. Today?  :shruggy:

Only thing I did do today is find the dimensions of my 68 Road Runner, 202.7 inches (17 Foot) by 76.4 inches (7 foot), little smaller than I was thinking.  Garage is all so a little smaller than I was thinking. I was thinking it was 22 X 25 but, it is only 19 X 25.

While there is plenty of room for my Road Runner and a HO scale layout, my best section will have to go.  :'( I call it K-10 Mining.

This is what I started with.

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/K%2010%20Mining/NewSection.jpg.html]

Note, the 440-6 pack emblem!

Hard to believe there is over a $1000.00 in that 5 X 8.5 foot section. I stopped counting when I hit a grand.

Hope to hear about your day and learn a little more about you folks as well.

I'd just like to sit down and start with a Crown and Seven,  maybe some chips.  Love to see the train sets, thought about that as a hobby but things get in the way.   Almost out of the coins and currency business.  Just a few things left.

For those of you still working...how was the commute? :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana: :nana:

time for a frosty one flo. throw a burger on the grill and kill it good. some crinkle fries on the side will do great. and keep the frosty ones coming.

to start off my day today i got an email at work stating that a friend that worked in my building was in a motorcycle accident the night before with his wife on the back. he didnt make it, and she is in surgery as i was reading the note. sure made me shudder right then and think about selling the bike. im not making any rash decisions, and i know this stuff happens and you cant just quit living when you hear of this stuff. but i have 7 grandchildren. i just think i need to think about it for a while.

on a better note, i got the running lights all working on the charger. headlights are wired up. got the headlight door motor off cleaning and greasing it. had to finally hook up the headlights because it may be going on a run into the night. its first late trip. lol

still got to get the brake line swapped out since it is leaking. got home from the car show and put it on the lift to check things out and seen the damp area on the line.

well, enough of me. time to chow down on that awesome looking burger.  hey flo, wheres the catsup?
