hi guys. Canadian bacon pizza please, oh, and a George dickle and coke. make it the no. 12.  finally on a 4 day vacation. gonna be a bit cold, but i'll take it. got in a 02 Chrysler sebring with a 2.7 engine. 185,ooo miles needing a water pump. I must say, what a nightmare. dam near everything had to come off the engine but the heads. yes, I said water pump. no timing marks on the top gears. had to mark the chain. I hate working on dohc motors. this lady just bought this pos. I work flat rate and I can assure you, I didn't beat it. I like to do a good job. hate to do it twice. I know this is a charger site, but as far as new cars and trucks, you couldn't sell me a 'new Chrysler' corporation car or truck if you tried. not interested in anything past '74.   well, enough of my whining.
ken, I hope your foot gets better. maybe the VA will throw in  a roadrunner door for you. tell me, whats wrong with the door you have?  hope bank of stupid gets their act together and things work out for you. all the crap you've been through, hope your lawyer gets a piece of them. I hope I can get out in my garage and do something with the charger. working on cars all day every day, it makes it kind of tough once you pass 50.  after a few days away from it, I must say, you get the itch to work on stuff. maybe it'll work out that way. ken, i'm jealous you got to drive your car. I guess, its my fault for not having mine mobile yet. they'll have to pry the titles for both of them from my dead fingers, but I will drive them one day.  i'm rambling on, but its a bar/dinner right?   I got to get home. its been a long day. later guys. flo, have the boy pull the Yugo around for me, will ya?

 Evening Folks

Flo, beer please.

Bruce, rambling is OK, that is part of what the dinner is about.

Far as what is wrong with my Left Road Runner door, be quicker to list what is right. It is a 68 Door and that is about it! Two big things.

1 Door won't latch all the way. Years ago the screws that hold the door latch kept backing out. I kept tightening them and kept backing out. Finally with all the door slamming the sheet metal cracked above and below the latch. We welded it up but door will still not latch all the way.

That is why the door has a gap in all the pictures. Hate to guess how many miles I put on the car that way.  :shruggy:

2 Rust while I am sure I can fix it again, with the other problem is it worth it?  :shruggy: I all so think the front lower door frame is going to be gone when I hit it with a grinder.

Whey, while you are off and bored, how do you get the fusible link out? Hum, have I asked you before?  :shruggy:

i guess ken what I would do would be bust off the spade, and drill through it. run a fuse link through it.   I know its called hacking it but if done right, it should work fine. seal up both ends with a small amount of silly cone. I normally don't like splicing wires but sometimes you have to. I plan to bypass my amp meter and split up a few systems. thus correcting the mopar fire  hazard spot.

Evening Dinners

Flo, beer please and get Bruce and Allen what they want.

Bruce, sorry to say you and I think a like.  :slap: Here I thought you where smart!  :smilielol: I am going to give one last try to do it "The Right Way" and then the Knuckle Drag-er Way! Went and bought some more quality tools from Harbor Freight. :rofl:Set of Needle Nose Pliers, I have need a set for sometime now anyway.

Plain is to mount the harness in my bench vise, use the bent nose pliers to squeezes the tap while pushing with straight nose pliers. If that does not work, going to cut down the spade a little. Then try pushing and pulling at the same time. If that fails? :scratchchin: Out comes the Pin Vise and electric drill!  :D

Allen, while I can get a Sunday off I need to ask a week in advance.  I will get home around 5:30 so if you want to drop by I would love to see you!  :2thumbs:  Heck we might even to get to do a quick power tour if I can get the harness fixed Friday. But either way You, I and Miss Lumpy can have some Cam 2!

Speaking Of Friday, off to see the Lawyer and see if she can help me with BoS. Hope she is a crafty, sneaky and evil one! :D More than likely I an screwed but I can hope!

Flo, Cam 2 please.

41 Husk just left and I must say I had a great time. We talked about his current project and when I could get a weekend off and we could meet. Looking forward to seeing the Duster and maybe working on it. From the pictures I seen, looks like the engine bay is close to being painted.

I hope I can paint it for him, been God 10 years sense I have painted anything. Need to get some practices in before I do any painting on Miss Lumpy.  :D Think the last car I helped him with was the Challenger.

I think he has owned it all most as long as I have owned my Road Runner.

evening guys. Flo, you forgot your toothbrush at my house.   after about 4 days off work, I feel different. I think its good. sat around a lot and rested. I think the grand folks were on to something. I've come up with I'm either a genius or a complete idiot. haven't figured out which. and I base that on absolutely nothing. just cooled my jets for awhile. the pressures of work family and home just went out the window for a few days. vacation is nice. you figure in 3 pinball machines a pool table and some beer, I've got quite a handle on a teenager from 1978. to me, that's a great thing. now I'm looking a t work, Christmas is coming, my father is still in the hospital after a hart valve replacement, and my girlfriend and my daughter in law don't get along. oh, and I'm broke. I think I'm ready for another round of life. Monday morning will be an eye opener, but I have something those other guys don't. 2 b body mopars with big blocks.  have a good evening my friends.   Bruce

Flo, I will take a BLT, RB size onion rings and a Beer.  Make sure the Beer has a good Hemi Head on it. :D

Bruce, best wishes for your father, when is he due to get out? Hum, Flo left her tooth brushes at your house? She does not have any teeth Bruce? :shruggy: But her head is flat!  :D

Allen, main reason I did not feel like messing with her is because it so dam dark. If you have not made any plans for Thanks Giving, well you are still welcome to eat with us. :2thumbs: Then a few rounds of Neighbor Hood Power Tour!

Bryan (A 383 Wing) is sending me 12 spade connectors so I can either burn Miss Lumpy to the ground or fix the Electrical Gremlin. :smilielol: Going to start with adding a inline glass fuse to be on the safe side.  ;)

I am off Tuesday and off to the VA hospital I go again.  :brickwall:Last two visits the wound has gotten a tad bigger. Like I said before the staff is not worried. But I sure like to have both my days off, not just one!
