Good Morning

How about a nice sausage omelet?

Thank you much

I enjoyed the game last night.  Everything was going well until the Cards swapped pitchers and allowed a couple runs.  The 9th ended great.

Morning everyone, not many cars is the parking lot.  Everyone must be keeping them in the garage and out of the rain.

Hi flow, hower ya?  Give me a BLT, mustard - no mayo and lemonade.

Neighbor and I had to cancel the Houston Wings Over Texas today because of the rain so I guess I'll spend some time in the garage on the old Charger.  Good day to work inside.

 Evening Dinners

Flo, I will have a Cam 2 Pleases.

Why do my eyes look glazed over Flo? No, I do not smoke Herb! Wife has been out in the garage talking to me, it just happens.  :shruggy:

Work was sort of busy, never did have time to read any and made some commission.

I have came to a conclusion I need to hire a friend! I have not touched the Road Runner for 2 months now because I need a third hand. Allen has dropped off the faces of the plant. Jim at lest post here at the dinner and between Sunday Football and his family he is just to plain busy to help.

I would like to put a few miles on the Road Runner ( I have only driven her a 1/4 mile in the last 8 years) but with out some back up just in case I don't want to take her out of the driveway. I could jack up the rear end and let her run that way, but the driveway is on a grade so with out someone holding the brakes there is noway to do that.

Then there is the garage door! It is a all wood door and the opener is shoot. I have to lift while it the garage door opener struggles to open the heavy ass door. Again, I need some help in case the door starts falling apart.

I think I maybe able to get a mechanic (I uses the term loosely) I know named Steve that works for Bob my repair shop for the drivers to help. Steve is a OK wrench if he is shown what to do plus he is interested in old cars. So I am going to ask him if I can pay him to come over some Sunday. I hate to see Miss Lumpy sit outside for another winter!

She does sound good!

Evening Cards and Fellow Mopar Lovers!

Flo, what the score? I will take a Cam 2 Pleases.

Lucy, I will take a rack of BBQ ribs, Onion Rings,Garlic Toast and a small house salad with Ranch Dressing.

Jim I know your plate is full plus with you being out of town so much I understand. Just a darn shame you are so busy, from the two times we have meet I think you and I could become good friends.

67 440 Charger for sitting 8 years outside she sounds dam good! :coolgleamA: It is sort of hard to believe that I lost interest for 8 years. :shruggy: Well I do enjoy the model trains but I hope it is time to get back into cars. Once I get her into the garage and get into the bodywork I will enjoy my self a lot more! I love the smell of body filler in the morning!  :D

While I can wrench and do a decent job 95% of the time it just not fun, it is work.  :icon_smile_angry: Taking a rusted out piece of crap and making it a thing of beauty again!  :2thumbs:

And yes, it is getting cold here. Reason I broke down to have the heater core replaced in the Town Car.

Bruce glad to hear you are busy, but are you making any money? (Bruce PM Me) Just because a person is busy does not mean they are making money you know. Are you making any headway toward the needed vale train?  :scratchchin: Looking forward to hear about the Mr Six Pack cam you bought.

You know folks, the way Miss Lumpy idles gives me wood! But just not a fun cam for a street driver. It is a MP 509 cam. I still have a old MP 284 Hemi Cam and later it might find it way back into the Road Runner.

I will drop by Tuesday, my day off.

Evening  :-\

Flo, Beer please and some Nasal Decongestant.

Well it is that time of year for me to get sick again.  :shruggy: Was real dizzy when I got up to go to the head, dam near fell down. Starting to feel the full brunt tonight, pressure behind my eyes and such.  :eyes:

Struck out on hiring Steve to come over on a Sunday. :brickwall: Seems he has a Girl Friend?  :scratchchin: Boy, that is hard to believe!  :smilielol: You have to meet Steve to fully understand.

Got a stack of paper work from Bank of Stupid today. They have stuff they want me to sigh so they can get the title straight on the house so I might be able to get the loan modified. :scratchchin: Pretty sure they won't and I will lose the house after living here for 20 years. I have been fighting with the fuckers for 4 years now!

In someways I will be glad when it is over! It is hard not knowing at my age where you are going to live month to month. :-\  I am sure this mess has taken some years off my life. :'(

Evening

Flo, Wake up, I like a Cam 2 pleases!

Guess I am pretty much typing to my self uh Flo?  :shruggy: Maybe it will still catch on.

Work Front, had a :2thumbs: good day today. Had a lady come in looking for a 4' foam topper (something you buy to make the wrong mattress you bought feel better) for a full sizes mattress. Well we don't sale them but her and I got talking about why she need one.

She is a Brest Cancer Survivor and she lost most of the ligaments in her shoulder. She all so told me she slept better in the hospital bed when she was in the hospital. I showed her a power base and a good quality memory foam mattress and she wound up buying it. Was able to get her 2 years same as cash. Her cost was $2300.00 but that is not a bad prices. I use to sale Temper Pedic mattress and there POS entry level mattress was $2300.00 by it self, then $1500.00 and up for the power base.

One of the things I love about selling mattress is if they will listen to me, I will help improve there life. Good sleep has a major impact on your health.

Hi Flo, looks like it's getting close to closing time so I won't keep ya.

How ya been?  Just stopped by for a cup of coffee and a piece of pie.  Heading home, got a sister in law flying in tomorrow and staying the weekend.  That will pretty much chew up my time, no work on the old car till they leave.   Tell Ken that he's not ignored, life just gets in the way sometimes.  Maybe I'll see  him later and we can discuss cars....

Evening Dinners!

Flo, a Cam 2 for me and Missy Lumpy needs 5 gallons of the good stuff!

Boy it has been awhile, seems the last time I messed with Miss Lumpy was around the end of September?

Last time I drove her when Jim was here, she was smoking pretty bad. I don't think I posted this video just, well I was embarrassed?  :shruggy:

http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/She%20Lives/Smoking_zps837ece10.mp4.html

Sure not how I remember her!  :brickwall:

I felt pretty good today and it was Beautiful fall day and got a wild hair up my ass. So I started her up, I was only going to warm her up some and blow off the leaves.

Ron (Firefighter) and I talked about the smoking and the Transmission fluid leak Miss Lumpy has. Ron suggested getting some Lucas Transmission treatment and see if that took care of the trans leak. So while I was warming her up, I added the Lucas.

Ron and I all so spoke about the old trick of running some transmission fluid down the carb to help reseat / unstick the rings while she was running. Ron all so said he would add half a quart to the engine oil has well. So while I was at it, dump some ATF in the oil and ran some down the carb at a fast idle. While I was pouring it is, I heard a real odd sucking sound, but it cleared up pretty quickly.

She seemed to be running OK, so I decide to try to take her around the block one time. My block is a 1/4 mile around. She seemed to run OK, kept her pretty much at a idle in second gear. She was smoking, but there was no white trans fluid smoke like in the video. Right rear brake sort of stuck like in the video as well, but only did it one time.

Well made it the first time, hum lets try it again! :scratchchin: Second trip (now up to a half a mile and 3/4 of a mile in 8 years ) was pretty much the same as the first trip. 3rd time I gave her a little gas and she started smoking pretty good.  :shruggy: What can you say, slept for 8 years.

Decide to keep going, hell if she stopped running I call a darn tow truck! Couple of the neighbors that remember her has a daily driver saw me taking her around. Got some grins and thumbs up. Newer neighbors wife next door looked stunned when see saw her moving! :D

Car rode like it had square wheels and is a bitch with out power steering. But I kept on going. All so pulls to the left, could be a brake hanging up some or the tires. :shruggy: At this point I don't care, she rolls!

After 8 times around (2 miles) she was not really smoking that bad so I decide to flog on her a little. Pulled 1st and gave her about a 1/4 throttle and she sound good! But she smoked again, not awful but did smoke. Made another trip and again pulled 1st and gave her 1/4 throttle again, not as much smoke.

Goosed the gas a few times on a roll and she sat me back in the seat great! :coolgleamA: After I drove her 3 miles most of the smoking was over! Just a whiff from the right bank when I gave her gas. I was pretty darn pleased.

At this point I was starting to worry about how much gas I had left so I decided not to push my luck and the need of a tow truck. Pulled her into the drive, then I thought  :scratchchin: "I wonder if she can get rubber?"  :D I gave a 1/4 throttle again from a standstill and she ripped the hides!  :2thumbs: Backed her up and did it again, it sure felt good! She has marked her domain for the first time in 8 or 9 years? Did not light them up, facing the garage door and still do not fully trust the brakes yet.

Pretty good day for old Cuda Ken!

Flo, beer pleases.

Work Front Last few day?  :shruggy: Well Saturday was great as far as customers to sales ratio. Had 5 customer and sold 4 of them. :2thumbs: But it was all low end stuff but still a moral victory. Today, well 5 customers and only 1 bought. :scratchchin: Still cannot complain about when the two days are added together.

Surgical Appointment Tuesday. I need hand surgery on my left hand. Cannot straighten the left little finger past a 90 degree angel. It will fold into the palm of my hand so I can grip a wrench. But it will not wrap around a Beer Can! If it is a nice day, I will blow off the appointment and work on the Road Runner! Want to do some more laps! ;)

You know, I just was thinking about something. :scratchchin: Last Friday was the first time I laid rubber in 8 years?  :smilielol: Boy that is hard to believe!

Just got off the phone with Simon, my train friend. He is going to be in the UK next week (he is English) but after that he and the Lads are game on helping me take down the train layout.

Seems Simon has got tired of his train layout for now as well. He as all so got interested in old cars! :D He bought a older MG and this winter he and the Lads are pulling and rebuilding engine. So I have offered to help. Hum.  :scratchchin:Anyone know how to stuff a LA motor in a MG?  :2thumbs:

I am off Tuesday, hope to take Miss Lumpy for a few more laps!  :boogie: :boogie: :drive: :boogie: :boogie:

So far I have a right door, left front fender and left quarter panel. Need a left door I might be able to save it, it is the original door and a right quarter panel. Hood :shruggy: not sure about.

is this place open?   whats up guys?  works been busy. had my right knee cap puff up. it felt weird. figured I irritated it somehow. stayed off of it last weekend. boy do I ever enjoy 2 days off in a row.  Monday- fine. Tuesday hit the right knee cap HARD on a door striker bar on a 3500 chevy armoured car. I did the ceremonial shop dance and swore a lot. today i'm hobbling around like a 52 year old mechanic really should. good thing I don't have a 25 year old girlfriend that'd kill me.   ordered the valve springs, and they got shippend direct from manley. so i'm sittin back and being happy. on to the next faze of prodject six pack. be awhile though, right now I have to drink the cheap beer and Christmas is coming.  well, talk to you guys later.    3 bread sticks to go please.

good to see ya rt green, flo, kill a cow for me, and a big baked potato. load it up too.

i have been busy also. got the new front seats in the car after a seat swap with scott "charger 1". took the car out sunday though for a fall picture shoot. been helping my dad get everything ready at his house for winter. took care of the pontoon boat and the jon boat with the winterizing. got both of the riding mowers taken care of. getting his snow plow put together so he can shovel the easy way with the riding mower. :yesnod: he insists to play in the snow at 82, so this way he can jump on the mower and ride. its just hard to realize he is 82. he acts so much younger.
work is getting going with the new computer system which will give me major overtime through next september with me maybe spending a couple months in texas next summer. well, see ya all later.

Had a good day today. While I did get out a half hour late, I think the extra $170.00 I made, made up for it. :D

For the folks not following my adventurers with Miss Lumpy, 68Road Runner on the last neighbor Power Tour she did die on me.  :'( There was no gas in the Rusas Filter. The Rusas filter is this.  :icon_smile_wink:

People with clean fuel system would call it a gas filter.

While I was waiting for the tow truck I cranked her over again and she started.  Got her back home and saved the tow bill. Last Wednesday I clean it out, the broke it while I was tightening it up?  :brickwall:  :slap:

I have a new one so maybe Tuesday I will get to get a few more miles on her.  :drive:

Seeing a Lawyer Friday about Bank Of Stupid!  :RantExplode: There is a slim chances they do not have a legal title to the house! With the shit they have put me through for the last 3 years :fu: them.

If I could keep the house and not pay the pricks it would take a load off my shoulders.

Maybe the dinner will live after all.

Work Front, pretty boring. But I do have a good check coming by today standards which means it just OK compared to what I use to make.

You know how some people see a glass as half full while other see it as half empty? My wife see it as broken and you are going to cut your self and die!  :brickwall:

Getting ready to list my Snap On box on Crags List, but Sue warned me not to!  :scratchchin: She told me how people list things for sale on Crags List and when people come to buy them the seller takes there money and won't let them have what they came to buy. :shruggy: So Sue worried that will happen to me!  :scratchchin:

Ah, Sue, I am the seller not the buyer. Why would a crook come and rob the person waiting for money?  :slap: She just does not understand life as I see it.

So much for the good check I had coming. :shruggy: he is the only one that knows how to do the report and payroll had to be in today.

Tuesday I have a VA Hospital appointment at 10:00 AM. After that a little running. Hopefully Bob will have the wiring harness patched up for Miss Lumpy. It will be nice having the tach working, and dare I hope the fuel gauge . Not holding my breath on that one working!

Either way, it will be sunny and time for another Neighbor Power Tour!    :drive:

Good evening Flo I will have a cold beer to go with the 3 I have already had. I just sat a shower base in grout and leveled it and put a little rock on the walls. Tomorrow I will rough in the valve and install the shower walls looking for the day when I am done with this phase of the remodel so I can work on my car. I have the parts to make it a lot faster next year. Sorry to babble on but I live in a house with 3 females and they don't care about my toys.

Weather, sure not what I was hoping for, over cast and high was only 42.Dropped by Bob's shop and they cannot get the burnt fuse-able link out of the harness. Guess I be taking a try at it now.
