Hey Guys, fancy meeting you all here. Are we having a boys night out?  I feel like some ribs. Don't tell me Lucy's off sick again. Poor old Flo has really got her work cut out for her, serving at the bar and waiting tables as well. You're going to have to give her a raise Tom.

So what been happening?

Who's shout is it?

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Morning Folks!

Flo, Diet Dew Pleases. I will also take a BLT with cream cheeses.

Fy, Jim and Bruce welcome to the pit stop.

So Jim, I now know why you have not had time to stop by! Sounds like you have some work to get done. When is the picnic and where?

Bruce when are you off again? I will say one thing, you sure do stay in touch for someone I have never meet in person. Seems like we have know each other for a long time. He,He got anymore magazines you don't need?  :scratchchin: Geoff, always loved my Dodge's, first car when I got my license was an Australian delivered right hand drive 63 dodge phoenix , 318 poly push button torqueflite

Fy469rsse, tell us a little about your self. I am guessing you have a Charger with a stroker motor? If you don't mind, what is your first name?

One thing I did forget that happen yesterday. I got a check in the mail for $107.00 that I did not know was coming!  :2thumbs: Seems the old job ponied up for the personal day I had coming. Going straight into savings.

Got to start to get ready for work. Today is a short day and I should be home around 6:25 or so.

See you all tonight.

Morning Folks

Flo, Diet Dew to go, yea that work thing again.

WA 23 RT in the train word we call that a shelf layout or around he room layout. I have been thinking about that idea for sometime new. :scratchchin:

I made a scale drawing of the garage and will take it to work with me today and see what I can come up with. It will not bother me to lose most of the layout, looks like a 10 year built it.  :shruggy: I was never into wood working and when the layout started life it was a HO Slot Car Track. Only part I will hate to tear up will be K-10 Mining.

Green 69 RT it is a fun hobby but does have its learning curve! Almost out of the coins and currency business. Where you a dealer or a collector? If you have any lower prices Morgans let me know.

Jim sorry to hear about your friend. :'( While riding does have it's risks I would not sell your bike. I hope to get another one someday. I still have my bell star full face helmet.

Glad you are making some headway on the Charger as well Jim. Working headlight doors. :scratchchin: Out of the 3 second gen's I have had, none of the doors worked.

67 440 Good looking Charger! Did you happen to see the Belch Box behind the dinner? :D

Evening Dinners

Flo, Cam 2 pleases. Has it been this quite all day? Well Flo, the Pit Stop is a new places so it take awhile to catch on.

Work Front Well I guess it was not a bad day. :shruggy: Wrote about $1300.00 in sales. So far I have made more money from the change the customer lose from there pockets than in commission. But, the foot ulcer is getting way better! At my old job I was on my feet 7 out of 8 hours and the wound would not heal, in fact that job caused the ulcer! Now I am on my butt 8 out of 10 hours.

I have to get the heck of Illinois! The state income tax is unreal. I am paying more to the state than I am to the feds?  :shruggy: Just to finishes the day off just right, when I got home tonight I found a letter from the state saying I owe $669.00 in taxes from 2010?  :eek2: At this point I have no idea what this is about! :scratchchin: I am sure that no matter what I say when I call I will be wrong, just like when I am talking with the wife!  :brickwall:

Other thing to look forward to when I wake up Thursday is fighting with Bank Of Stupid! Most of you will know it as Bank Of America but if you have a home lone with this bank, you may know why I called them BoS.

See you all later, Ken

Evening.  :P

Flo, as anyone dropped by today? Well I guess I Drink Alone, Cam 2 pleases.

Work Front what can you say, it is a boring job most of the time. I work at a Mattress store called Mattress and Futon Outlet. Small Family owned company and they treat there people well. This is my 3rd Mattress company and I used to make pretty good money doing it. I worked for a company that was called Mattress Giant around 2006 to 2010 and was making around a $1,000.00 a week. Then the economy went south.  :shruggy:

Well I do get to read a lot!  Think I am on my 12th book in the last 10 weeks.

I am off Friday but I have another skin graft at 10:30 AM

See someone  :shruggy: later?

Evening Folks!

Flo, I will take a Cam 2 and around for the house.

What a great day today, I wish the weather would stay this way 365 days a year.

Foot Front Seems it is healing very quickly now! Hole from the ulcer shrunk 64% in just the last week? If folks here at the Pit Stop would have seen the wound when it was at it worst you would have blew chunks! Now it just looks like a nasty little Boo Boo.

I wish I could look up  the 3 Surgeons that wanted to cut it off and stick it up there Chevy's! I was lucky that my Surgeon thought it could be saved!

Only Bad News Today? Dam, I did not win the Mega Millions Lottery! :brickwall: When I win (positive thinking) I will not take a lump sum payout like most people.

See you all Saturday

Hello all Flo I had might as well have a tall cold bush light and get one for the rest of the car people here as well. We got back a few hours ago from the local Mopar clubs Trunk or treat. My charger won the scariest car award the whole family went. We put rubber rats on top and a skelton behind the wheel and a big spider under the hood with other stuff in and around the car. It was a pretty good time lots of like minded car folks to chat with and great cars to admire.

nvrbdn

congrats on the scariest car. i need to check in on doing a trunk or treat locally.

  how about breakfast alice....

alice?  when did you start working here?  oh well, i will have a stack for breakfast. i want the eggs scrambled and gravy poured over the top.

  keep the coffee coming.
my car didnt make it to the bonfire :'(, guess i procrastinated too long. got all the lights working. all new bulbs in the running lights. stereo hooked up, i was doing well. so well that i got sidetracked. thursday the sister came over. friday the cardinal game. i knew i would have plenty of time saturday morning to get the job done. right up to the time that the phone call came in.

grandpa, i have a soccer game at 9:00 would you be there please?
yes shelby, i wouldnt miss it.

ring ring,   grandpa, are you going to shelbys game today?
   yes kaylee i am.
would you go to mine at 10:15?
  i wouldnt miss it.

shelby is 11. her dad told her if she made a goal he would give her 30 dollars. on a free kick she was standing right in front of the goal. somehow the ball got right to her with no one else around. she looked down, aimed, and missed the ball. by then the rest of the mob invaded her area. her team did win the game 3-2. they only had 1 win all year to this point, and the other team was undefeated. what a great feeling for those kids.
next was a cup of coffee and a donut at the gas station and then to kaylees game.

she is three. she loves to follow the ball around and laugh. but she doesnt steal it cuz she wants to see the other kids get to kick it too. they were with the ball at the goal of the opposing team when a whistle went off to stop play. at that time kaylee went into the goal to hug the goaltender. (it was a good friend of hers). i love watching that age. they are there to have fun no matter who wins. grandpa did keep score though. kaylees team won 4-3.
so it was a good morning and the charger suffered. i missed the bonfire.
thanks for breakfast. pic is kaylee in goal during practice before the game.

Morning!

Flo, Diet Dew Pleases.

Alice, nice to meet you. I will have scrabbled eggs, bacon medium done, hash browns crispy pleases and a buttered English Muffin.

67 440 Did you get any pictures?

Jim must be nice to have your family so close by. Great to hear the kids are having a blast at the game as well. Sorry you did not make it to the bonfire, but the family is worth it.

Yesterday Work Front Turned out I work alone, that was a bit of a shock, I normally work with Dave on the weekends. Had a good number of customers, but I swear I have never seen a cheaper crowd! Out of 8 customer I only made 2 sales.  :brickwall:  Well, I had a 3rd deal if I want to strap a queen mattress and box springs on the roof of my car and deliver it. No Thanks!

We will see what Sunday brings.  :shruggy:

So Jim what are your thoughts on the World Series? I sure hope we will get number 13th under the Carnivals belt!

Short day, only working 5 hours!

 Evening.

Flo, Cam 2 for me and I will buy a round.

Work Front :2thumbs: I opened at Noon and I had 3 pairs of customers at the same time. :shruggy: Can be a pain in the butt I will add. I picked the right couple (I did help all 3 of them) to stick with. ;) Even tho they said they need to go home and think about it (I hate when they say that!) they did buy!  :icon_smile_wink: If I did the math right I made $175.00 from that sale and they still got a good deal! I was getting ready to buckle and drop price but luck was with me!  :D

Boy, I could do this twice a week every week my $ life would not suck! Normally I make more from picking up lose change from the mattress that customers lose from there pockets! :smilielol:

Think I will play with my Big Boy.

Evening Folks

Flo, I will take a Keg Of Cam 2 and a straw! :D

Had a good day today, well up to when I went it the house after work.  :-\ Far as work, had another good sale today and made a extra $135.00 in commission, add that to the $175.00 I made Sunday this check will be the best I have made yet at the new job. :coolgleamA: If I could do this ever week my 68 Road Runner would have some new parts!

Far as what ruined yesterday and today after I got home?  :scratchchin: The other half, the wife. :brickwall: I have been happily married for 23 years, I guess 23 out of 38 years is not to bad!  :shruggy:

Sue is truly a sweat person! But, all I hear from her these days are what she is worried about and what hurts. :eek2: Far as her worries, most of them are stupid things that most of us do not give a second thought about. Like, what if I cannot get the car started? Hum, Call me or Bob our driver mechanic. Or, what is the dog won't come in? Leave her out side till she wants in Sue!

Far as what hurts her? I meet Sue when she was 23 and even back then when she was in her prime I still heard about things that hurt. Like You Are Hurting My Back! :D

But now, my God that is all I hear.

It is like you have a unrestored Mopar that could talk! My tires hurt, my carb needs adjusting, my timing is off, my rear end hurts and do you think my battery looks swollen?

I give her a $100.00 if for just one day I did not hear about something she was worried about or hurt her! I know it sounds mean, but if you could ask my daughter, she would tell you the same thing. Luckily Sharon only has to hear it once a week. Lucky kid!

Evening Dinners  :icon_smile_question:

Flo, Beer Please.

Pretty uneventful day today. Had yet another Dr appointment, and did a little running.

Went to my my friends shop today and struck a deal on replacing my 94 Town Car heater core. Book time is 7 hours, whole dash and steering column has to come out. :eek2:  Bob is letting me buy my own parts and is only going to charge me $400.00 in labor. Labor alone should be $672.00. Heater core before my discount is only $30.85 from NAPA, but the heater hoses are around $16.00 each? Bob is all so going to let me make payments, $200.00 down and $200.00 in 3 weeks depending on how the paychecks go. ;D

Evening Folks

Flo, yea it is quite, guess we need to get a big screen TV so the dinners could be watching the World Series. I will take a Beer  and turn up the radio too KMOX.

Reason I was so bummed out the other day I found out the company was cutting back on hours. When I was hired I was told I be working between 43 and 45 hours a week. I sure need the time and a half.

Today, I was told we are now closing at 7:00 PM and not 8:00? So I am now below 40 hours! I wonder if it has anything thing to do with the new health care deal?

Other thing that has me worried is the Owners are 80 and 70 years old? They own 5 of our 6 stores and they just sold the Blue Springs MO store. With the rerouting of the traffic it has been a thorn in the side of the company for sometime now. But it does make you stop and think! :scratchchin:

I just hope they keep the company going along enough so my foot heals.

Go Cards!
